There doesn't seem to be too many rumours floating around just yet so here's a few heavier bands I'd like to see on the bill as it's looking a tad lightweight at the mo...

Arch Enemy

Bleeding Through (New album 13.04.10)

Devil Driver

The Haunted

Soilwork (New album 25.06.10)

Trivium

They're going to need to pull some rather large, numerous rabbits out of the hat on Monday (Soundgarden? Rob Zombie?) to start competing with download. Alas I already have my Sonisphere Tickets Purely for Maiden. So keep faith! :P

Pretty sure I heard that Soundgarden arent doing any UK fests until 2011? I think I also heard they are in the US at the time of Sonisphere. I'm not sure though. I don't think their that good eithier, Rob Zombie is somewhere else at the time of Sonisphere too.

I think i heard that skunk Anansie were going to make 2 festival annoncements - 1 being TITP, now look likely for V fest also. Maybe that's them off the list then?

Just read on the Kerrang website that Funeral For A Friend are rumoured to be announced for Sonisphere. Good shout methinks. something a little more contempary to balance out the older school type bands.

Anyhoo, not long to go now.........

Great to see that Skunk Anansie will be getting a decent slot. Hopefully before Alice Cooper on the Friday. Although if I had my way they'd be in Iron Maiden's slot lol :P.

But who are the extremely mysterious and enigmatic special guests to be announced?

well that annoncements was errrr terrible. special guest has got to be metallica then. they have to have metallica cos this festival seriously has its back up against the wall, and theyv got them on a 3yr contract so shudnt take an awful lot to sort them out - with Download leap years ahead so far with the lineups. If not Metallica maybe Judas Priest, or at a push......Soundgarden?

How things change. a month or so ago we were all raving bout soni and how they might beat download this year. Then download announce (wow) and soni give mediocre announcements like this. Who are these special guests?

Soundgarden being kept back for shock value would be nice?

    • Hezbollah rejected it. Really Israel should get the f**k out, and US and others should support the Lebanese govt in defeating Hezbollah.
    • Still thinking Reform might scrape a win in Makerfield and it will be the biggest LOL ever.
    • Yeah, 10 minutes could be better but it's definitely far from disastrous.
