The Prodigy

If they do play V would they be on before the main headliners on the main stage or headlining a different stage? The reason I ask is because the three bands I'm most keen on seeing this summer are Kasabian and The Prodigy (seen both live a few times and they are two of the best live bands around), and I really want to see KOL. The prospect of seeing all three of them at the same festival is what it attracting to V this year but it wouldn't be nearly as attractive to me if they were to clash. I've already got Glastonbury tickets but I'm prepared to drop Glastonbury for V if I can guarantee I will get to see all three bands.

Also, I know Kasabian are confirmed but where does all of the confidence come from that KOL and The Prodigy are playing?

Personally I would put Kasabian on BEFORE the Prodigy. (probably get some abuse for saying that)

But The Prodigy Headlined C4 stage in 2008, probably the same again i'm afraid.

Well they have had another album since they last played V haven't they? They are an amazing live band (probably will be the bet live band at the whole festival), and they offer something different before Kasabian, while at the same time appealing to a massive amount of people who will be wanting to see Kasabian. I remember last year, it was Snow Patrol before Oasis. I would have killed to have seen The Prodigy before Oasis rather than being subjected to the snoozefest Snow Patrol offer.

I agree with Jonnyx actually, but not just to the 90s, Prodigy are genrally great live, but were is deffo the key word at the Moment, saw them at Reading 2002 and they had a shit set and didn't do very well, then saw them twice in 2005, at V and on their greatest hits tour and they were excellent both times

Ive then seen them at TITP 2008, V2008, Birmingham NIA 2009 and Download 2009 and they just put out the same show over and over and going through the motions, they need to have a break, they're burnt out, im hoping they will have a new setlist come TITP and V this year cus its been the same one for 2 years now pretty much.

For a group that has so much material they don't vary their sets enough.

Id still watch them though, but if theres someone else up against them I haven't seen who i want to, I'll give Prodigy a miss at V this year. I would never not want to see them though, they're never shit.

    • Tbf that happened to me in 2022 so not a one off. 40 euros to drive down 3 streets. I'd have done a runner but the reason for getting the taxi in the first place is cos I couldn't walk no more.
