Great suggestions here - thanks everyone

My mate has been looking at this thread and has luckily agreed to try eating out for a couple of days. I asked him what food he might try so that I can narrow down the type of places he might like to go.

Unfortunatley his response was, "The idea of lentils and shite like that fills me with dread!"

And "Chickpeas are a total no-no"

And finally "And definitely nothing cooked by a hippie!"

Oh boy, I've got a challenge on here - any suggestions anyone? Apparently curry is OK and Jamaican is OK.

In case you're wondering what delightful home-cooked food my mate produced last year.....

The highlight was cous-cous and tuna - and he forgot the tuna!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What is it about some meat eaters that they are reduced to quivering wrecks if you suggest they eat a veggie something?

I was at a party the other night and there were two huge bowls of chilli and a big bowl of rice.

"What's the difference?" someone asked. So he was told "That's meat and that one is veggie."

"Ugh, I couldn't eat veggie," he said.

Ten minutes later I saw him tucking in to a cheese and tomato roll. It's a good job no one told him it was veggie.
