Green Day Anyone?

I doubt it would of been Friday if anything and they are to big to play anywhere other than Pyramid Headliners, no chance they would headline the other stage. Last year it was FF, bloc party and prodigy i think they are a touch bigger than those bands.

I think possibly Breeze is a Glastonbury veteran and perhaps voicing an opinion that many of those who have purchased tickets would probably say. I didn't realise eFestivals had a fans comment only policy :P

I just can't see them attracting the huge crowds at Glastonbury the way they would at Reading and Leeds or Download. this isn't musical snobbery it's just different festivals attract different crowds.

Their last 2 albums certainly share a political theme i associate with Glastonbury and they are more a Rock band now than punk, even then their old stuff was only really pop punk. I think they'd go down well but i must admit i dont see them as a Glastonbury headliner nor do i think they'd accept anything less.

I don't really want to see bands like this at Glasto its nice to see headliners ive never seen before, plus they are doing their own headline shows in summer in the uk and these bands often avoid festivals.

and fair play to him, but i meant it in a 'raining on someone else's parade' kind of way as im sure, like me there will be plenty of people that would be over the moon if they heard greenday were to play glasto

This thread asks a question. Breeze gave his answer to that question.

How's he done anything wrong? :P

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
    • Biffy Clyro back again for R+L then 😁   To be fair, Biffy Clyro still one of the true "coup" bookings they've had here. Not implausible another Victorious headliner ends up in the mix, given Ashcroft has done it before. Maybe Kasabian, on the back of their arena run?
