As many of you would agree, this year's Download Festival was the most kick-arse ever - with three days of scorching sunshine at Donington Park, and a bevy of awesome performances from over 100 bands.

Now we're ready to announce a very special 'Early Bird' offer to everyone who supported Download 2009 – a chance to purchase tickets for next year's festival at 2009 prices!

Going on sale at 9.00am on Thursday 19 November on the official Download website www.downloadfestival.co.uk, standard weekend arena tickets for Download Festival 2010 will be available at £135. Standard and family camping tickets will stay at £25 for Friday, Saturday, & Sunday, however if you do wish to arrive early on the Wednesday or Thursday there will be an additional charge of £10.

What you need to know

- Download will be back at Donington on June 11th, 12th and 13th 2010

- Early Bird tickets go on sale at 9am Thursday at 2009 prices

- Tickets are available for a limited time only, and will be going off sale at midnight on Christmas Eve

- Standard weekend arena £135, Standard and family camping £25 (£35 if you wish to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday)

I reckon first week of January (probably for the first kerrang of the new year) we'll get headliners. Early bird tickets are usually only on sale before any of the line-up is released.

a who's who of kerrang from 2001-2004 please. and pearl jam!

Well at this point I wouldn't neccessarily rule out Pearl Jam.

As for bands from that era who are a possibility to appear: Sum 41, Soil, Blink 182, A (they seem to be back together), Bowling For Soup, Bloodhound Gang, HIM, AFI, Disturbed, Less Than Jake, InMe, Limp Bizkit (if new album gets released they may appear again), New Found Glory (were due to play this year but dropped out), Rancid, Evanescence, Stone Sour (or Corey Taylor solo - he'll be there in some form!), Soulfly (are they still going?) Tenacious D (randomly popped up out of nowhere to play reading in 08, might do it again for DL!), The Used, Weezer (overdue an appearance over here,might come with Blink if they play), Placebo, No Doubt, Funeral For A Friend, Deftones, Creed.

Obviously you won't get all of those, but a lot of them are possible and/or haven't appeared at the fest/in the country for a while/at all!. All depends on who soni are snapping up

Aye even if there's only a couple of the mentioned bands there's always gonna be some quality acts to watch over the weekend. Plus there's the famous efests meet

Incidently I found a text from this years meet on my phone (I don't delete messages very often) the other day that, frankly, sounds mental out of the context of the meet-

I hope they have enough early tickets for camping capacity though, and folk don't end up buying a weekend camping ticket and find the early entry ones have sold out.

I wouldn't mind the £10 for the Wednesday (every other festival does that near enough), but for the Thursday too? Nearly everyone will want to get there before Friday morning.

I think your right lith. I was thinking last years camping ticket had £35 written on it.

Maybe its just marketing to try and slow entry down? Or the fact that download is around exam time and i've known people to have exams on the friday morning then come over to donny. tbf, i've known one person to come and the wednesday, get destroyed, go back vv early friday. Came back friday afternoon.
