Download to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Donington rock

The three day heavy rock music festival Download has confirmed that it will return for an eighth year to Donington Park and will be held over the weekend of Friday 11th to Sunday 13th June 2010. Organisers have also announced an early bird offer with tickets for next year's festival at 2009 prices.

Download has no confirmed acts yet for 2010 which will mark the 30th anniversary of Donington Park's heritage with rock. Starting with the 'Monsters of Rock' festival, which began in 1980 to playing host since 2003 to Download Festival – the site has played host to some legendary rock performances.

Download is still going ahead next year despite Donington Ventures Leisure, the company running Donington Park, going into administration yesterday.

Early bird weekend arena tickets are priced at £135, with camping and family camping tickets priced at £25 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Lockers in the campsite are priced at £11 with car parking £10 in advance, £20 on the day. A campervan supplement is £40. There will be an additional £10 charge to enter the campsite either on the Wednesday or Thursday. Early bird tickets are on sale until midnight on Christmas Eve.

Kids aged 12 or under are expected to be eligible for concession rate tickets. These will only be available on the day from the on-site Box Office and there will be unlimited availability.
