U2 make mes laugh as they are ment to be "the" biggest band in the world, so I would expect them to have a huge fan base. Nobody I know likes U2 and they don't know anybody who likes U2! I worked at their gig in Sheffeild and I thought Elbow were SO much better than U2!

If they played Glasto I personally wouldn't go! I wouldn't want them to headline!

As usual I agree with the sir, it makes no difference between u2 or pulp, they're both w*nk, we could be dealing with The rolling stones & bob dylan here people!!! why aren't you more preoccupied!!

I mean, don't get me wrong, i don't like blur at all, but it was a big sunday headliner last year and i can certainly see why they got booked, it made so many people's festivals and thats awesome.

If u2 headline, they're obviously gonna wanna do the saturday slot, ie- pushing the stones out, and that'd be the biggest crime against music ever ! Jesus,

only difference is, i actually like jarvis cocker, he's pretty clever, though bono is the biggest bellend music has seen in a looong time.

... and it appears he's said they're not getting back together anyway :(

...I think Dylan shows these days just have to be taken as they are. Everybody know going in that he could play any arrangement that takes his fancy on the night. They also know that he's not exactly chatty, so if you have accepted all of this and are still willing to shell out to see him, then I suppose it's possible to leave and think wow, he changed this, or subtly altered that...what a gig.

i've written this before..

I'm not a U2 fan at all...but

...anyone who thinks that a U2 headline performance would not be a good thing at Glastonbury is frankly a f**king idiot..The Pyramid stage is all about big sing-along songs, which U2 have in abundance. It angers and bores me when peoples self interest gets the better of them. This is why you are not in charge of booking acts at large festivals. thankfully..

try to think outside your sad little boxes and small pockets of friends and you'll realize that a U2 performance would probably be one of the biggest events and audiences the Pyramid has ever seen - which has to be a good thing for the festival..And Bono's annoying hassling about charity managed to convince Bush to give 5 billion in aid to developing countries and 500 million to AIDS research a few years ago...5 billion...what you've done this week?

Ha ha ha what a load of old tosh.

This week I've built a computer system that should ensure that children taken under Police protection in the West Midlands are not handed back by social services to the people that they were taken off in the first place. How about you?

U2 changed the face of stadium rock (wembley 13/7/85) and they would turn Glastonbury upside down given the chance

i doubt they'll play for lots of reasons but seriously hope they do.. seen them several times with each one as different and diverse and fantastic as the others

yes he's a knob but its not about the politics its about losing your voice/self in front of the pyramid and being able to say I Was There

pulp or U2 what sort of a joke is that
