In the past games that have been on Friday, Saturday or Sunday have been shown at the cinema film. I can't see anything else to be honest. If you are that bothered, you'll make sure you get to see it. I myself will happily listen on the radio unless there is something else I want to do on at the same time.

The atmosphere was great Euro 2004 mind you on the Thursday. More people watched that game at Glasto than any other single place - even the ground, I understand.

not read this thread for a while so not sure of all what has been said but i reaaly think it will be shown it has to i for one will leave just walk to the nearest pub or bus to town it could lead to mayhem. what harm to have a couple of hours with no music start an hr earlier finish 1/2 hr later it will work or shave 5 mins off each band and not f**k around with the sound check. i am sure they drag them out to prove that they deserve a job....

Few thoughts:

They can't stop people leaving the site. Literally. Legally. That's approaching false imprisonment. Major civil liberties problems. On the other hand, they can refuse to issue pass-outs, or let people back in.

Second, I'm coming around to the idea of showing it in the cinema tent. Yeah, the Pyramid is the only place big enough to cater for the number of people that want to see it. Anywhere else is a health and safety risk. But the Cinema tent has a single entrance that can be stewarded, and the number of people in there kept in check. It wouldn't be a problem as when it's full they can turn people away. Word will get around pretty quickly. A note could be put in the programme that it's limited capacity and first come, first in. If you want a spot, get there early afternoon and stay in all day.

That'll take care of the few thousand dedicated football fans that wouldn't miss it for the world, and would otherwise either cancel their tickets or cause problems by trying to drive off-site somewhere to watch it. There will be a load more who will be a little disappointed at not getting to see it but will just shrug and watch something else instead. Because there's no other option.

The only problem will be with the thuggish louts who turn up at the tent five minutes before kick-off believing they have a god-given right to watch 'the match'. And frankly I don't give two tugs about them, just make sure all those areshole violent security guys we read about every year are working that shift...

    • Dokken are touring until the end of 26 and rumoured to be touring Europe in 2027 according to all the fan forums.    https://www.dokken.net/   Don Dokken still has the serious pipes. Like the Stones though, they'll demand a (deserved) huge fee and probably massive stage alterations.    100k at this. The guys who dress up in the Redcoat costumes bonging faecal sludge from the longdrops.
