Pulp headlined in their heyday (thanks to the Stone Roses no-show). It was the show that made them.

I think if they were to reform and headline, it would be part of a big media circus, so they'd seem big enough at the time.

Personally, I can't see Jarvis wanting to do it (the reunion, that is)

i think it would be marvellous if the reformed comsat angels, magazine, psychedelic furs etc, could be persuaded to do one of their 'classic album' sets

ahhhh .... the Furs, headlined the first year I went (1986). Yeah, they'd be fab, as long as they didn't play 'Mirror Man' (that's the right title isn't it?) and instead did their first album or 'Forever Now'.

Hmmmmm, can't see this mentioned as yet but just noticed the merest hint of a rumour from Ms.Eavis - Ye Olde Artiste wants to reform his band and play Glasto again some 40 years after he last played:

Is there any chance of bands who played in 1970 playing in 2010?

There are a few potentials, yeah. We've got a lot of really interesting offers coming in - like one who's an organic potato farmer now, who played in 1970 but wants to reform his band for next year. Which is great. I think it's really important to have a bit of that, plus lots of the new stuff as well. There's so much exciting music around at the moment. I think it's going to be a really fruitful, exciting year.
