From looking around the various weather forecasts all I can see is that its looking good, why all the negativity on here????

Once Thursday and Friday are washouts, and with coldish temperatures throughout, there will be no sitting on the grass from Thursday.

Even a semi-dry festival is looking like a long-shot, unless of course we see a switch in trends but that switch need s to happen by Friday.

even IF there are showers at the start of the festival, it's a bit of a jump to say the ground will be too wet to sit on. there aren't the concentrated volumes of foot traffic to churn the place up wed/thur for a start.

"A favourable outlook next week, despite what some might tell us, high pressure generally settled. Sunniest and warmest to the west and southwest, cooler further east but feeling warm in any sunshine."

More good news from Netweather model watchers:

"I like the ECM this morning. Something that we havent seen for the past 3 summers, high pressure almost constantly situated over or just to the west of the UK. If it was to come off i could see temperatures reaching the mid 20s is southern and western parts. Scotland also could fair pretty well.

And finally, bar the odd isolated shower its looking like a completely dry week so it certainly can't be described as unsettled."

I'm not a weather geek and have simply used the Netweather GFS tool so perhaps somebody more used to GFS could tell us if I've understood correctly (particularly with regard to the total mm of rainfall which is likely to fall on Thurs/Fri). Many thanks.
