The official site has either been intentionally taken down or is so grossly overloaded or whatever at the mo that it has fallen over completely but this appears to be the very last news update on the site according to Mr.Google:

A STATEMENT FROM NOEL

28 August 2009

"It's with some sadness and great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.

"Apologies to all the people who bought tickets for the shows in Paris, Konstanz and Milan."

They don't have a new album out shortly do they ??

Normal publicity stunt they would pull to get themselves back on the front pages.

That said I've always liked them and will miss their gigs if true

This has been on the cards for a while it seems, they have barely been on speaking terms for years. Liam is an arrogant prick who thinks he is something special when in fact, Noel has been the brains and talent behind Oasis. I must admit I've never been a fan of Oasis, I think in part because of Liam and his "we are gods" attitude

I wouldn't mind hearing Noel release some solo stuff.

    • The first half of that game was cracking but then I fell asleep at half time. Maybe that's just the momentum of things.

    • A win is a win but it was a very poor game with only 4 shots on target in the whole game. Scotland obviously handed a massive bonus with Brazil and Morocco drawing but I don't think either of them will be too worried.
    • Word of advice, your work-life energy balance should be 60% energy for work and 40% energy for life. If you're drained after a day's work, that is something you should strongly look into. Especially if it is solely due to work.
