Animal Collective - Start with "Merriweather Post Pavilion" and work your way back from there. They're criminally underrated over here and you'll love getting into them.

TV On The Radio - "Dear Science" and "Return to Cookie Mountain" before that.

Beach Boys - "Pet Sounds". One of the best albums ever made that I'm glad I finally saw sense to buy.

Panda Bear - "Person Pitch". Probably my all time favourite headphones record.

No Age - "Nouns" - Think they've got huge potential to break through over here and well worth listening to before then

Broken Social Scene - "You Forgot it in People" and "Broken Social Scene" - Uniquely original and a long term appeal to both albums

Pavement - "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain". Couldn't leave it out after the earlier recommendations

Pete and the Pirates - "Little Death" Pretty much a flawless indie pop album that went under the radar for some reason

I'm off to download this "Checkmate Save", all this hype has got me intrigued

My new favourite band is The Low Anthem. Their album is great. If you like fleet foxes and the like go get it!

Also a band I saw at Glastonbury, Hope and Social, were really good. Their doing a bit of a radiohead with their album, pay as much as you want. See here
