As the BBC Introducing stage hs been announced do any of you have any recommendations to try and have a listen to?

Have any of you seen any of the bands live? Do any of you know anyone in these bands and would recommend them?

Is there anyone not worth looking at specifically when I get the chance to trawl through myspace after work?

Cheers

Just listening through the bands, Just heard British intelligence, They sound pretty good like!

Different to a lot of things out there, a mixture of Rage, Cypress hill, Korn, N*E*R*D, Linkin park, (a little) muse, and something else that I can't put my finger on.

I like it though!

Yeah I definitely recommend Lovvers too. I managed to miss their entire set last year but I've seen them a couple of other times and both times have been fab. I reckon the sound will be loud enough. It's usually pretty good on the Introducing Stage. I saw them on that same stage last year at Latitude and they sounded great.

I'd also recommend Kasms despite a lot of people not liking what they've heard! I'm still not the biggest fan of their recorded stuff but they are really entertaining live. I don't think bands like that necessarily translate very well in a recorded environment - kinda similar to Test Icicles.

Besides those two Chickenhawk are really good and might please those people who were wanting some heavier bands on the bill. They've been around for a while now and their album is one of the best I've heard this year.

That was only funny about 5 seconds last year. Though it actually f**ked up the performance for the band after the ff's as well. Though it was scenes like that when u relaise most people who attend reading are idiots.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
