Women don't seem to "get" that film, it's a shame. They always seem to want to be too "mature" about it. It really is a perfect example of the gender divide.

Personally, when I moved to London that film was current, so when someone mentioned the "Harrow" Road, I found it hilarious...

probs pulp fiction as my favourite.....

other honourable mentions to desperado and from dusk til dawn....and film adaptations of musicals or music based films; ie. rocky horror, little shop of horrors, blues brothers, commitments etc.

....also the music of thomas newman; might be a bit of a girly film but whisper of a thrill from meet joe black is stunning.

Trainspotting - Great 90s sountrack with some of the best bands of the time.

Pulp Fiction - Great mix of music and some cracking dialouge from the movie

Virgin Suicides - Really sets the scene and has some of my favourite AIR tunes on it.

So, erm, what about actual movie scores? Everyone just seems to be about what pop music gets played (or not played at all) in a movie, rather than an original score someone has dreamt up for the movie as music, which I find infinitely more interesting

Tangerine Dream must be in the running for most film scores with over sixty I remember getting sorcerer on tape many years ago.

but for a soundtrack featuring various artists this is a classic

    • I'm surprised they risked it, especially after nearly missing their Glasto 22 slot under similar circumstances  I did see someome say Ellie didnt sound as strong as recently but I'm guessing playing 3 shows in 2 different continents doesnt help that    On the topic though I can definitely see them doing a Fontaines and having a break over winter before a few final Clearing shows next summer
    • That's fair on WA - I did recall people thinking Fontaines would take this year off before this was announced.    On the subject of Wolf Alice, they did Lollapalooza in Chicago on Saturday then Kendal Calling last night. Bit of an odd choice, no? Half imagine at Kendal that they would've been just exhausted.
    • Just logged onto the app to start planning my days and there really are a LOT of stages missing. Apart from the Seaside Stage there is no Casemates this year etc. Apart from the Seaside Stage, there are no Casemates this year, etc. Can't see anything about the kids field really. And there's local acts that are normally there like Kojak's Revenge that aren't appearing either.  Normally we get down fairly early but I can't see anything before 3pm I'm keen to see. Only one real clash as well, which is good, but it's thin and it's not thin in the sense of "I've seen a lot of these acts before"
