It was generally dull in my opinion.

Hey Jude was okay for crowd participation purposes, but proper good tunes were a bit sparse I think.

I'm so gutted I missed Toots and the Maytals for him, it has left me with emotional scars. He and Oasis taught me a lesson about Pyramid headliners that I'm not really in to.

I was just peeved he didn't play the Frog Chorus... or pipes of peace for that matter!

TBH, I'm not arsed who headlines. If its someone I like its a bonus. I don't like Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen or Blur and it didn't make my festival the worse for it.

However, if Depeche Mode are there, I'm down the front... with a chair and big f**k off flag saying 'I love you Dave'!! ;-)

agree get mccartney back to glasto. if last gig, surely gotta be on cards.

would probs have to say Radiohead are within a chance to be back.

i'm also with Oasis doubters and saw them at wembley so wouldn't be bothered.

they might get muse but both sonis and reading/leeds have more chance i'd say

I never regretted seeing Basement Jaxx instead of Macca , they were brilliant !

Why take a chair to Depeche Mode ? , drugs and booze perhaps but a chair !!!

I love that band "In Your Room ! " is pure beautiful sleaze !

A lot of people just dont like the man. I loved that gig though. Couple of classics in there. Not sure about him playing again so soon though.

Bowie would be amazing, and very fitting given his tie to the first festival.

not massively keen on Foos or KOL on the bill, Foos, whilst good entertainment are certainly not a rare sight at festivals and I think they should do something more unexpected - like the acoustic tent would be good - why not? KOL i find they still look incredibly ill at ease on a big stage and I personally dont think they have the songs for a headline slot. my own opinion though, i know plenty of people that love them.

I'd like to see something we havent seen in a while, like:

The Cure

or

Red Hot Chili peppers would be great (though a setlist spanning all their albums would be nice, last time at Reading it was very short on anything pre 1998),

Brett Anderson would be wonderful in the acoustic tent - saw him last year at Shepherds Bush and it was breath-takingly good.

Aerosmith - pyramid stage any night - would be amazing

anything involving Jack white...

The post about the mate of yours spraying on the dashboard was the best thing ive ever read on efests until this post.

I couldnt agree more. Macca in 04 was like something only people like Roman Abramovich get to experience. Except me, my missus and The Nal got to stand in that field and let history wash over us like the tide. It was sublime. Blur last month was a gig I'll never forget, but Paul at GF04 was a show I'd trade my first born in to see again.

I do know one of next years headliners, but I seriously agreed to secrecy. I know what I've just written will start off a

- you bull shitter

- how could you know

- your just making it up

response,

but what can I say, I promised I would not tell. The negotiations for the headliner has been going on for a couple of years and were confirmed last Febuary. I got it from someone who is very close to ME.

That's all I'm saying.

I've been trying to rack my brains in trying to think of a way that I can write down the headliners name in a way that is timestamped - so to speak - so when the line up is confirmed, I can prove that I did actually no the name and was not making it up.

Still, I don't care that much, there are more important things than the line up.
