I dont even really know how big theyd be considered now a days.

Theyve not really done anytihng for quite a while, the black parade came out 3 years ago now. the new song wasnt really a success either.

Still.. below Brand New deffinately seems a bit too low

Very Cryptic, if anything I could see them being placed above Gossip (although that would leave Glasvegas 3rd when they co headlined the other stage at Glasto!).

Maybe they are trying to really shove it to Download - 3 acts who headlined Download recently playing this year. People would really have to stop complaining then!

i'd say third on the main stage is more likely, they'd pull a huge crowd. I'd welcome them, never saw them except for 5 mins at leeds the year they opened up the main stage, sound was all over the place and he was telling girls not to flash their goodies so we walked off lol. Like a lot of their songs though, i'd say they could either be slotted in on the arctic monkeys or radiohead day (no chance of placebo playing 4th, they're headlining half the festivals they're appearing at this year).

There is footage of people bottling and booing MCR at Download 2007. Why are people bottling a main stage headliner? I can see why they would if they were waiting for the next band to come on, but they could have easily been watching someone else as it was the last band of the day. I don't see the point in people going out of there way to bottle/boo/heckle a band, when they could be watching another band.

    • Very probable. I was a bit surprised by the crowd I saw in the video they drew, and I say that as a big feeder fan. I thought they’d draw a really good sized crowd but it looked rows deep. Chuffed for them though. Still think they’re a great band after all these years.  Rumours at they’re doing a Polythene tour next year too.
    • It sounds like Feeder drew a crowd too big for that stage originally. Given the time period they haven’t appeared at Download as well it's a nostalgia thing. Halestorm vs Feeder wasn't the most ideal but leaving after either to get out would have been sweet at least.
    • You cant see everything unfortunately, it would be Halsey there for me 100%, the last 20/25 of Gorillaz. Halsey would be my non negotiable act on that day myself. Oddly Bleech 9:3 would actually give me an option I wouldn't mind between 3:15pm and Halsey. Dogstar would only likely be a 10 minutes thing of I've seen Keanu lol.
    • I think the tent was just right for Feeder, on that day anyway.   If you had a Biffy-esque day again, or someone of that ilk (maybe Pearl Jam for example), whack them on that main stage. 100%.    As it is, I think feeder will be back and probably high up the second stage or main stage next year or 2028.
    • I think we still have 2 acts to announce each day, maybe one more big name to complete the lineup?   Perhaps the big name is Turnstile on Thursday, which isn't sold out yet. And some other names that could be added like Iceage, Band of Horses or Tomora.
