Wellies!

Are functional footware, not fashion items, they have their place when its muddy but how people wear them on the really hot days is beyond me, would hate to have share a tent with a hot weather wellie wearer

really hot weather still needed wellies after the thurs downpour as there were parts of the site that were overly muddy throughout the fest.

the mud was only dry in the main areas.... between that was squeeeeeeeelch!

There were only 2 days you needed wellies, Friday when it lashed it down all day, but by 3 pm the sun was out again and drying the mud in record time and Monday morning when everyone was leaving, I managed to get by in light boots when muddy and sandals the rest of the time, wellies when its hot dry and sunny is just minging. It was even mentioned as a Festy whats not in the Sunday daily.

didn't take wellies this year, wore trainers all weekend, feet were dry and warm and washed the trainers off this morning, good as new.

yuk......it wasnt it was all the people pissing on the floor that couldnt be bothered to wait 30 secs for a slot, and the bent leaky trough that was pissing urine out everywhere !

Went out in my boots on Saturday morning but was quickly back to the tent for my pumps! Boots were unbearable! From Saturday evening it was flip flops all the way til I was heading back to the car monday morning.

I sympathise with the blokes in the urinals - but lets face it - this thread is about the girls - a pretty dress & wellies - thats what you wear to a festival isn't it? Isn't it? What do you mean you can wear what you like?

I was wearing wellies on the Saturday! Left the tent early and spent the morning in the kidz field/acoustic so didn't know what the main site was like. ended up just wandering around in bare feet most of the time and just putting on wellies when going between stages. Just in case. Was hot though!

I wore wellies almost all weekend because the shoes I brought kept getting stuck in the mud every few steps I took.

I don't think most people that wore their wellies did it because of fashion.

some certainly did else they would have got normal cheapo wellies not these exensive hunter / jumy choo ones i heard about

but i dont hang out with anyone who would buy wellies like that, posers!

i only took one set of footwear, wellies!...there little crappy green ones worth about £8. I wasnt wearing them for fashion.

id simply forgot to put my trainers in my bag

it was awful, but i was lucky not to have any blisters tho!

I took wellies and wore them on Friday - although by the evening it was obvious I wouldn't need them the next day and other than that just had sturdy semi-walking boots. One of my friends swears that wellies are just not necessary - which I think is one of those ongoing debates but certainly Friday morning they were essential. I don't think that trainers are enough because you are walking a lot on rough uneven ground and I want to be comfortable and supported (although that sounds like I have a bra on my feet!)

I wore my wellies all weekend so that I didn't have to worry about avoiding big mud patches, and there were plenty of those about all weekend, especially at water points. I did take them off when I wasn't walking though. And this deffo wasn't a flippin fashion statement, it just made sense.

complete and utter lie. the walk from pennards to festival coach via JP stage on monday was NOT DRY. the bit by JP was full of puddles and mud. NOBODIES luggage/wellies that morning escaped the mud.

like i said main areas were dry all weekend but outides of that was still muddy i got splashback up to my knees over the weekend!!!

i hope u had fun using the toilets in ur sandals.... if theres anything minging its that.

cheap wellies hurt though.. i bought cheap wellies this year from asda. 12 quid and they were digging in the the back of my heels. the hunters ones are supposedly very comfortable and last a long time - therefore they are an investment. Dont see why they are possy they are mostly plain!!

Not true, if you used any urinals around the pyramid stage you needed wellies !!!! I wanted to get back in my sandals, and did whenever sitting down / staying somewhere dry, but there was no way in this world i was going in the flooded piss soaked urinals without wellies !
