scappaflow
My trolley held... 2 crates, 18 Litres of coke, spirits etc, big 4 man tent. Also, 3 people borrowed it for return trips to the car park and I'm sure had similar amounts and it was still looking good. Then someone nicked it!! raw-edge
AMAZING: Madness Pendulum (although I am biased on this one) Specials Regina Spektor (got proper goosebumps and a little emotional - as some random guys from Midboro spotted) in the unlikliness they come on here, hope you two had a great rest of the festival VERY GOOD: Memory Band (again biased on this one) Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds Hot 8 Brass Band A folky band I've forgotten the name of on the bandstand Maximo Park Quo ALRIGHTISH: Prodigy Dizee Rascal Spinal Tap POOR: Doves - but only as I got crowded out of getting to them and lost everyone so didn't get the chance to see them

Not many of my favourites were playing so I took so much more in than in previous years. Especially the fire display on saturday, amazing! ollyh
Completely agree about fleet foxes there, they could have been so much better but while they were still very good, they could have been better and I think park stage would have been perfect as some of the pyramid stage crowd (around me at least) didn't seem interested. ParanoidAndroid86
Friday: The Whip - 6/10 Regina Spektor - 7/10 - some of her songs are very good, the two on guitar and a couple others weren't great. She has a great voice but sometimes doesn't use it to good effect. NERD - 5/10 - Bit difficult to judge given the set was cut so short. A real car crash start... Amusing that Pharrell thought the attendance was 200,000 - just for them of course... And describing the ticket price as $200....I wish! Fleet Foxes - 8/10 - perhaps not the best stage for them but they put in a classy performance. The Dead Weather - 4/10 - I saw the 2nd half, not good. Nothing "special" to justify their "special guest" appearance. Neil Young - 10/10 - Outstanding performance - just wish he cut down a couple of songs and played 2-3 more. DBTR was amazing - but Rockin in the Free World (decent song, but not one of my faves) went on a little too long! Saturday: Broken Family Band - 7/10, solid stuff Blue Roses - 8/10 - superb voice Metric - 7/10 - didn't expect to like them but they were decent. CSN - 9/10 Maximo Park - 8/10 Bruce - 10/10 - would've enjoyed it more if I knew more of the songs or knew them better but it was a stunning performance. Sunday: Art Brut - 4/10 The Mummers - 6/10 YYYs - 6/10 Bat for Lashes - 8/10 Bon Iver - 10/10 Blur - 9/10 Also saw parts of The Streets, Tinariwen, Good Books, Nick Cave among others but didn't see enough to judge. As much as I like NC I'm not convinced he was right for the Pyramid Stage.
gemsie1904
AMAZING Peter Doherty - his cover of Talking Heads - Psycho Killer was brilliant (although he did forget the 2nd verse) Blur Kasabian Lilly Allan - I was suprised because I'm not a huge fan but I did really enjoy her set. Yeah Yeah Yeahs GOOD Emmy the Great Ladyhawke The Rakes After being a Maximo Park fan for a while, but never seeing them live, I was very disappointed with their set at the Queens Head. Pilgrim S
Flabbergasted at this. Best gig I've ever seen! Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - 10/10 Shlomo and the Beatbox Orchestra (think that's what they were called) - 10/10 Fleet Foxes - 6/10 (wrong stage for them)
gemsie1904
I also managed to catch one of the guest slots on the park stage which was two guys out of supergrass (Hot Rats I think they're called), really enjoyed that!!
Homer
Everything I saw was good bar Fleet Foxes were a bit dull and I accidentally caught Tony Christie after Quo and he was absolutely dire. Blur, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Nick Cave, Dizzee Rascal, Bjorn Again - the list goes on! Badly Drawn Boy's I Wanna Be Adored was a highlight. Josie's Cat
Well I hardly saw any bands but I thought Dizzee was shite as well! Apart obviously from Bonkers, that bassline just makes your blood bounce, it was great. He should have just done that and gone home. Lady GaGa - the kid wanted to see her, so I thought why not, but I thought she put on an awesome show - climbing on the piano, bouncing around, energtic and just fun. Plus she had a bra that shot out sparks - waaay beter than Lily Allen who just looked like a schoolkid who had taken the wrong turn and somehow ended up on the pyramid stage. Pendulum were pretty good, energetic, good atmosphere - wehre were the lasers though? Poor poor poor - needed more of a show! Some flares didn't cut it. Hotfoxy
We were at the bbc compound at dizzee he was soooo bad. When he did that Michael Jackson remix thing it just sounded like a really bad wedding disco!
chuckley
i only saw people i wanted to see and the people in front of em, so none were bad. NERD was AMAZING minus the short set... technical probs so i hear.... HOWEVER was that down to them or the team setting up the stage?! either way it was unprofessional for the crew to cut them the way they did and just bring on the filler. people ALWAYS overrun and they always let them, but NERD aint allowed???????? they only just got started. woulda been amazin as a headline slot!!!!!! GLAD i caught VV Brown on sunday in dance east, instead of rushing to pyramid on sat morn (why did they give her that stage?!) coz she did remixes of her songsssss

Josie's Cat
Oh yeah, we saw some NERD as well, enjoyed them! NERD - "You paid your two hundred dollars you gonna enjoy yourselves..." Bloke in crowd "Dollars? You're not in America now mate!" thought that was funny.
