The Glade Stage

I was just having a peek at the line up for the Glade on the Sunday, I am actually impressed with s Daft Monkeys, Back to the Planet, Eatstatic and Gong. That would be a nice line up for some of the festivals I go to, never mind just on stage.

If anyone wants to find me, I will be there all day. I'm the one eating cheese and sat in a chair.

But seriuosly, there are some little gems there over the weekend

I caught pretty much all of Steve Hillage last year as well, may look out for ya lol

I'm a little dissapointed (Only a little though) that Banco De Gaia is only playing once.

I managed to catch him last year at Croissant Neuf & he was outsanding ...was hoping for a late sunday gig again this year

Sorry it was Steve Hillages Mirror sound system & then System 7 played as well, i was at both gig's

neither of which is "Steve Hillage".

Yes, I know System 7 and Mirror System are Steve Hillage, but before System 7 and Mirror System he was "Steve Hillage" - and it's "Steve Hillage" that's playing this year. I'm only aware of him playing a "Steve Hillage" set just once in the last decade or so (tho there's perhaps been a few others).

Gong have been my favorite band since '73 when I was compelled to buy Camembert - just for the cover and the band photo on the back - also have not seen the Hilliage band since late 70's - would be a real treat to see Stevie - not as System 7 or Mirror.

BUT - my youngest son is coming and is desperate to see the Prodigy - looks like I will miss out!! Will have to catch Kangeroo Moon in a tiny attempt to make up for it!!!

:D

Sunday is indeed shaping up to be one hell of a day, at least for moi. Status Quo at lunchtime (sorry, I'm not going to let this drop), Madness, Eat Static, Steve Hillage and Gong. I will be at the Glade most of the evening wearing a banana costume in honour of Daevid Allen and his Bananamoon album - and don't foget people "BANANA NIRVANA MANYANA!!". As much as I love the Prodigy they are going to have to take a back seat.

    • World Cup 2026: What is happening with ticket prices? - BBC Sport   Sounds like Infantino has been learning from his buddy if he's running around claiming its all sold out while quietly dumping tickets below face on assorted secondary websites.
    • Mac DeMarco also cancelled
    • I'm British so it very much would apply for me.   I mean, it's a moot point as I don't have tickets so will not be in town for this, but I've heard reports of lengthy queues and given I remember Lisbon Airport having a long queue at arrivals even pre-EES when I went in 2023, I seem to guess it might be quite the wait, depending on flight paths.   Certainly, the worst I've had pre-EES was a 45 minute wait for a stamp at Valencia Airport in Spain, where 4 flights to non-EU destinations in quick succession were placed one after the other. So I can't say I'm enthusiastic about what's in store. Or you know. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.
    • Out of interest keep seeing messages saying last 12 hours etc… to buy you full weekend tickets.  Whats that about? Do they take them off sale early?
