It won't be The Dead Weather they have a european or american tour at the same time. I think, but I could be wrong.

I think it will be libertines.

I think that the Flaming Lips are still rumored for the saturday on the rumors page, so does anyone else reckon they could be the special guests on the saturday?

As for the special guests on the friday, Dead Weather are definately a good shout. And although I reckon its fairly unlikely there might be some potential for a libertines slot.

Also does anyone know if the special guest slots get worked out here on efestivals before the festival? The slots are generally fairly high up and would be clashing with some strong main stage acts, who I'd be fairly reluctant to miss, but would happily do so if I knew a band i really liked was playing the special guest slot down at the park.

i just rememberd that last year Shlomo and Guests was the name used for the Last of the Shadow Puppets, and this name appears again, in exactly the same slot, so possibly another special guest could be included!

shlomo & the vocal orchestra are not to be missed; group of about 9 beatboxers/singers that do collaborations; ie last year the guests were dj yoda, martha wainwright, get cape, portico quartet, martina topley bird, john mcclure (reverend and the makers), ed harcourt, and a few others.

f**king awesome!

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
