If Kate Nash does play I shall not being going to see her and will avoid hearing her at all cost. Her set last years was awful. Crappy stage design, not great songs and she can't sing. It was like watching the first round of x factor.

I saw Kate Nash from my tent last year and she sounded OK, but that was about as good as it got. I like a couple of her songs that I've heard, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if she wasn't there this year.

I quite like Lily Allen though, I wouldn't pay to go and watch her but if she's at a festival I'm at and I've got no one else I'd like to see then I'd go and watch her again. Her new album is pretty good.

I saw kate nash in 2007 at the park when all she had was a single out a week or so later and she was really good then. I dont know about last year opening on the pyramid as I didnt bother as id seen her the year before. I very much doubt she will be there this year personally having read earlier this week on NME site that she is getting ready to go into the studio to start work on the 2nd album.

You never know though.

I thought it was about time that someone answered the OPs question seriously rather than just slagging off Lily Allen :)

Well, she can sing. Maybe it's not your type of music, but she's talented. If you really dislike her music, either don't go and watch her, nobody is forcing you too, or just go and stare at how beautiful she is.

She's a BRUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCEEEEEEEEEE fan, so maybe she might go of her own accord anyway. :)

a lot of effort went into it i agree but i don't think it looked that good and it served no purpose. it didn't add to the show. there was no reason for her to be sat in a giant clam. unless i missed one of her songs which is entitled "why i like to sit inside a giant clam" B)

To be fair she is still a million times better than the really uninspiring shite rock bands that there are so much of nowadays (courteeners, kooks, pigeon detectives etc).

Thats true, she makes good music and I think shes quite clever.

I dont see why people feel the need to slag anyone off, especially someone as beautiful as Lily, I havent slagged one artist off on this forum, whats the point, everybody has their favourite band, I happen to like Lily a lot, so what.

The world HAS gone f**king mad,

Lily Is The Princess how old are you? it may put this into perspective,

Some of the things you've said are a bit... mental. Good to have a passion though aint it,

I can see how People like Jens Wildman can build up an obsession about Bruce Springsteen, iconic artist whos been around for agess, probably grew up listening to them, sincere lyrics, beautiful arrangements, amazing songs. Brilliant.

To think in 15 years time, the people of our generation will be starting 20 page warm-up threads for when Lily Allen headlines Glastonbury as a "Legend" is ridiculous :)

Can I not like who I want? Everybody has a passion, whether it be sport, music, Springsteen or Lily Allen. Mine's The Princess, so what?

I agree that Springsteen is amazing, and one of the, if not the, most iconic songwriter of all-time. However, having a passion about Lily Allen is no different. We both like the artists for our own reason. His is because Springsteen is an extrodinary musician, whilst mine because Lily is amazingly gorgeous.

    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
