I can't believe how much stick they're getting. Their first album was brilliant and they're one of the best live bands I saw last year. I saw them 3 times at different size venues and they were great everytime.

They will be brilliant on the Main Stage. Especially if it's a nice warm evening.

Yeah I agree, I didn't give them a chance until I saw the end of their set last year.

I have a feeling they will be bumped down a slot to make way for the Special Guests, but I reckon they will be good fun regardless of when they play.

I hadn't heard anything by this band so when they were announced I thought it was about time i started.

I have fallen in love with this band!

Sure at first glance they seem to be indie crap but after hearing Cape Cod I was a fan, i urge everyeone to check them out if they haven't already, but keep an open mind :-)

They are a great band. I think they could hold their slot easily. Although like said I Think someone will be put inbetween them.

They played great at Glastonbury last year.

They were great at Leeds last year. I hadn't heard the album then but really enjoyed all their set.

Nice music to sit at the back and just listen to or go to the front and boogie.

I saw them last year on a friend's recommendation having never heard any of their stuff. I was instantly converted; I thought they were amazing. I did see them in a tent however which always makes it feel a bit more personal for me.

they are awsome but i agree with mjmilz14, especially if they are a gid special guest, we cant all forget that plain white t's where the special guests last year and before that papa roach, so i think we are due someone who is actually special

There's always a North American band who sneaks up high on the bill every year. Interpol, Arcade Fire and The Raconteurs. Vampire Weekend and arguably Yeah Yeah Yeahs are this year's choices.

I thought maybe a headliner for the radio 1 tent I was very surprised when i heard that they are playing. Im a massive fan but missed out on the chance to see them so cant wait now.

I think vampire weekend are a great addition to the line up. I think there will be loads of people who missed them last year but have got into them since. Some people on here wont given them a chance because they feel any band that nme likes is automatically no good.

I am a very big fan of Vampire weekend and saw them on the Other Stage at Glastonbury last year on which they were superb. That was sometime during early to mid-afternoon. Probably would have to agree that their slot is a little bit too high butt they will be great nonetheless!

They would of been a good NME headliner but 4th on the main stage i put the decision along side bloc party 3 years in a row R/L IMO is on self destruct mode

Fairly sure they'll be 5th or 6th, compare it with the number/profile of the acts of the other days and it seems obvious there's one or two names to be announced for the Radiohead day. They'll be ideal for a sunny afternoon.
