jurassic 5 are no more...

saw them in bristol on their last uk tour. absolute quality, and they all stayed behind to meet the fans, sign tickets, take photos etc.

even when security got shirty, trying to get everyone out of the venue, chali 2na came outside of the venue to carry on so that no-one left disappointed.

brilliant gig. brilliant band.

Wu Tang are poor live (well they were when I saw them a few years ago). Just looked like they were there to pick up the cheque, didn't put much into the performance.

In contrast Kanye looks like he cares about the show he's putting on, and seems to enjoy the crowd. Fingers crossed he'll be there.

I'm not sure if I would watch him but I think it will be a real shame if it doesnt play. He would be an act which makes Glastonbury stand out from the other festivals this year.

Thinking about it though, it was only a quote which said 'we want him to play' and NME's inaccurate list which said he was playing, is there actually anything else to base the rumour on?

By the looks of it he has no live dates planned this year

Fame can get you a long way in the US legal sysstem, and the only way he would lose his passport is if it was a felony he was convicted of... And even then it's just a letter to his senator (coincidentally Obama's replacement as Kanye is from Illinois) to regain his privledges. I highly doubt he will run into trouble touring because of this. The other possible problem would be him being turned down at the border by the UK, but usually if you can prove you will bring revenue to the country through playing (i.e. A big name like Kanye) you don't run into problems.

If he was previously signed on to play, this will not be the reason that he doesn't.

    • You do get some weird swings here and there, so... Cypress Hill?
    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
