Well since FR are apparently out of ideas for the Leeds Friday/Reading Sunday headliner, how about The Who? Perfect for the legends slot and I can imagine songs such as Baba O'Riley, Who Are You and Pinball Wizard would be a treat at Bramham. Also, rumour has it that Pearl Jam temporarily pulled out of the festival a few weeks before the line-up was announced in 2006 and The Who were brought in to replace them. So it's clear that The Who are willing to play and FR are willing to book them.

So Melvin, if you read this - Pick up your phone and give Pete a bell!

Saw them at Glastonbury, and only because we were camped by the pyrimid so could see them from the relative dryness of our campsite. And they were dull.

I fully support it. The who are legends, most bands could only dream of doing what they have. Better than any other alternative Ive heard mentioned.

The Who could quite feasibly draw one of the smallest weekend headliner crowds in recent years at Reading.

I don't mind them, but I'd prefer Led Zep.

Smaller crowd than Razorlight? Smaller crowd than Smashing Pumpkins? I doubt it. Everyone knows who the who are, and that is a brilliant band.

With glasvegas as the alternative, i want a classic and brilliant act. Someone to sit back and fully enjoy. The Who fit this spot for me.

Im not expecting them to set the world alight. Im just expecting to hear some amazing tunes live.

seen them at T 06 and they were shite. pure boring. and i thought they were all going to die. they didny look too fit.
