if they do clash with NY (the only artist (so far) able to make me miss them) then Latitude has just made my choice for me!!

heres hoping for a non-clash tho, really love em at the Big G

wow that's good news. Just looked at the efests rumour site and it seems Nick Cave is playing too! Ace!

so neither editors nor doves are headlining it seems? any idea who headliners might be?

lots of controversy over this - uncut announced the bad seeds, grace jones and the psb - but no-ones really sure if thats for the uncut arena (seems unlikely for cave & psb) but cant see how jones could be above either doves or editors - unless the uncut arena has been massivly enlarged

just been over on the latitude thread, saw that you were on there. Did you see someone moaning about the possibility of doves headlining, saying they were boring ;):D what a muppet.

in terms of popularity with the masses, i'd have to say (though I am loathe too) that editors are the biggest band of that bunch so surely that is a cock up? grace jones cant headling can she?? . Intresting line up though - made up about doves and nick cave especially.

I am gonna move heaven and earth to get tickets to this one

Nope, never been. I was desperate to go last year but missed it due to a wedding. This year I have another wedding that weekend but I think I might just have to cry off sick.

I've heard nothing but good things about latitude. Is it true there is a "Pimms village"?;)

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
