Here's my optimist theory... they're holding it back, to use for devastating effect in their Glasto slot, maybe do "an Elbow", but generally win the day if not the whole weekend.

(I just rewatched their last rendition on the Pyramid... something went very wrong with that. )

stunning gig, first time seeing them and was blown away, diggin the new material aswell. Gutted about no Cedar Room as it's my favourite Doves songs as I've stated before in this thread, Considering going to the Barrowlands gig next month even though im low on cash, got to see them again!!

I take it you're not a fan of The Doves then Mikey?

I don't think I've ever seen them live but Lost Souls is a classic album that I have played to death.

Doves can't be any worse than Radiohead or Franz Ferdinand?

Don't tell me, you don't like them any more than The Doves. :)

Radiohead & (to a slightly lesser extent) Franz suck big massive hairy balls in the company of Doves. I'll get back to you when i've had some sleep (and sobered up a bit :) )

    • Just watched Annie Lennox at Wilderness Festival as part of her global feminist The Circle initiative. She curated the 2 hour slot with special guests including Jessie Ware and then did  a 1/2 hour slot singing her and Eurythmics hits at the end. Her voice is amazing still and I am convinced she would do an amazing set on Sunday afternoon. She even wore a jacket with a sparkling CND symbol on the back! It’s a sign!!
    • 1. Jack White - Frozen Charlotte 2. Buffalo Traffic Jam - Pictures Of You 3. The Rolling Stones - Foreign Tongues
    • Is it one of those bollocks things where ones is a festival and the other would be a show lol
    • Hello,   I have no idea what the answer is to your question, but wish you well in your quest for information.
    • Yes, I was asking about comedy, and also it seems odd that after bringing it back last year, the Seaside Stage seems to have gone again. Probably why Massaoke (basically a big karaoke sing-along) is now on the Castle Stage. But on all three days?! Does all seem a little desperate this year, though hopefully I will be proved wrong. Still think the Mary Wallopers fiasco has probably put a lot of artists off performing at Victorious, hence the reduction in stages and acts appearing... One of the best things about Victorious in the early days was its value for money compared to some of the other bigger festivals, but this certainly not the case anymore...
