Personally, I'd rather drown in one of the portaloos...on the Sunday...after a weekend of weather so bad they haven't been able to empty them since the Thursday...and theres been an outbreak of food poisoning...whilst dressed in a Villa shirt and my grandmother's underwear before getting dragged out by the nad's and having my crap covered corpse paraded in front of the world's media as an example of whats wrong with society today...

Still...given a choice between that and having to listen to a song by Lilly Allen all the way through, it would be a close call.

its crazy isnt it. i know she's very popular right now but she has still only had the one album and two singles out hasnt she?

compare that to the acts playing in her position at titp last year such as prodigy and chemical brothers and it's a significant drop in size of artist.

i reckon she could just about get away with headlining the jjb at v but no higher please. before the titp news i thought she was a dead cert for a mid afternoon mainstage slot but thats pretty doubtful now.

OMG!! Are they barking mad? Yes, I think she's OK, and I'd probs go and see her if she was at V (unless there was something better on, or it was first thing and I had a hangover) I could see her mid afternoon on Ch4 stage at the very highest!!

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
    • The Smashing Pumpkins are also a shout
