Hey,

the international tickets are sold at:

http://www.getgo.de/cgi-bin/TINFO.DLL?fun=...&key=281062

http://www.getgo.de/cgi-bin/TINFO.DLL?fun=...&key=281093

Furthermore you can try to buy it via Ticketmaster. Just search for "Hurricane Festival" (Southside isn't featured for some reason). You will get to Katy Perry's (God knows why) gig at the Hurricane Festival.

http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/230042...mp;minorcatid=0

And there are tickets left, the organisator announced that the ticket sales runs "as always". Last year tickets sold out on the festival's friday (70,000 tickets sold, no day tickets). But this guess was made before Faith No More, Nick Cave and Kraftwerk were announced, so it would be better to buy your tickets as fast as you can, in order to avoid frustration.

Cheers

Does anyone know whether this festival sells out and, if so, when is it likely to sell out? Also, do they do day tickets? We really want to see The Pixies but we won't have the money to pay for tickets until the end of April! Cheers, guys!

Might have to go. Was a maybe, but I think Pixies have just persuaded me.

How easy is it to get to the Hurricane site? Got family near Essen/Duisberg and around Hannover too so know around there pretty well, does it involve going through Bremen at all?

Hi folks, going for the first time this summer from Ireland.

Its really easy. Just search at www.db.de (e.g. from "Hannover" or "Essen" to "Scheeßel") for the times. You can purchase group tickets at the trainstation that allow 5 people to travel through Lower Saxony (so travelling from Hanover to Scheeßel fits in perfectly) for 30 Euros which means 6 Euro per person! If you are in Scheeßel just follow the crowd, you cant miss it! The festival is about 1KM from the train station, as well as shops and super markets.

The 30€ tickets is worth for a whole weekend afaik... if you go back on monday you'd need a new one. There are 30€ tickets for Schleswig Holstein (IE HH to Lübeck) as well, so that is no issue. If you go the information deck they'll be bale to sort out your tickets as well. alternatively you could book them now and probably get a discount. You just need to take the credit card with you you booked the tickert from and print the tickets...

Got my ticket for this the other day...! Never been to a festival abroad, in fact i've only ever been to leeds festival (4 years running!), i'm hoping the atmosphere is at least as good as leeds, bands look pretty decent at the moment anyway! I'm guessing by now it's the final line up?

Hey all. I'm new to this community but thought I'd mention that I can already tell it rocks. I'm missing my favorite Sasquatch Festival this year because of a trip to Europe. A bit of snooping dug up Southside and it looks like it'll rock my socks off. That being said, I'm Canadian with nothing but an online translator to help me brave the Southside forums. Because of this I have so damn little knowledge of what it'll be like. IF this is the right forum, I had a few questions about accommodation, meals, and crowd. Anyone willing to explain what the camping is like, plus how access is via train, let me know!

Cheers

    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
    • It was awful during Father John Misty and I was close to the front. People just shouting and laughing their f-ing heads off about nothing in particular and being louder than the bloody stage.
    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
