Honestly if Limp Bizkit play they don't deserve to be anywhere near headline, its like 10 years since they had any mainstream success, their last album flopped big time

If Travis can headline V festival in 2002 [although they actually pulled out due to injury last minute] and then return there last year and play 4th down on the 3rd stage, then why imp Bizkit who have had less success than Travis even in recent years be still offered a massive slot?

And I'd put both those acts together as they were both very flavor of the month type acts

I don`t think so personally I am 10 years older than you and I appreciate Significant and Choclate starfish lost it after that. It`s a matter of personal taste really. :O

But would the average aged Download attendee know who they are?Enough to headline? :D

I think it'd be pretty cool if LimpBizkit played, however id be extremely angry if they headlined any day on the mainstage. They don't deserve to its as simple as that. I have three dollar bill somewhere....i used to love that album!!

To be honest, I haven't really listened to much Faith No More :O , but im willing to change my ways immediatly if anyone can point me in the right direction on what tracks of theirs to listen to??

The great thing about fnm was every album sounded completely different and took a completely different direction to the last. A lot of bands could take a leaf out of their book.

Oh and my recommendation is Angledust! Truely awesome album!

This would make all my download dreams come true!!

"Rammstein, Manowar, Slipknot, Motley Crue, Korn and Def Leppard are amongst the latest names to be mentioned as possibilities for this year’s Download Festival"

Oh yes please! B)

With all these rumours bouncing around if the Download promoters f**k it up this year there is definetly something wrong with them.

If any of the real heavyweight bands come to Britain this Summer, Reading will probably get them.

Pearl Jam, Rage, Pumpkins, Metallica and NIN have all gone there while Download has generally had lightweight rubbish like MCR, Lostprophets, Offspring etc along with old-timers Kiss and Iron Maiden.

2006 was light years ahead of any other lineup Download has had.

Faith No More this year please...

    • Kronenberg in a tent as well IIRC but Brooklyn Pilsner was easier to get without queueing and was everywhere across the festival.
    • I think they'll end up doing something due to pressure and bad PR. Maybe they do a discount code for next year or bar credit or something along those lines.    I agree though. I acknowledge that the lineup is huge but surely you can't cancel 33% of the headliners and not reimburse in some way. Their insurance will probably cover their fees for MA, Doja, Bad Gyal and Mac DeMarco due to force majeure.
    • Looks like nothing for weekend ticket holders. You'd expect a goodwill gesture.
    • Enough has been covered about how much of a sh*t show that was, so I'll just say, Massive Attack and it's relationship with this festival (and potentially me) are f**king cursed.    They were announced in 2020 when I first got excited about seeing them. They were subsequently on the poster for 21, 22 and now 26. This time I was in actually in the crowd close to the stage waiting for them twice haha. I give up!
    • Thanks for the suggestion, had never heard of them yesterday and have picked up a ticket today.
