Also, went to see The Cabin in the Woods. Thought it was excellent though I can't say anything about it as it could give the game away. If you want to see it, go and see it blind. Don't watch or read anything about it before going!

I've read two reviews of Cabin in the Woods that say at the beginning, DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW - go and watch this film before anyone can talk to you about it!

Apparently there are so many twists beyond the one given away in the trailer that the film is immensely gripping. Looking forward to seeing it this week :)

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was immense. The best film I've seen in many years and the first American interpretation of world cinema that I can say is better than the original; of which I am also a big fan. Reznor's score was excellent. Exceptional acting. And the direction, well, you don't get better than Fincher in my book.

might watch Headhunters tonight, but may be too sleepy, but definitely checking it out at some point over the weekend.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1614989/

its in cinemas now, its a foreign film, therefore the original norwegian bluray rip is in the usual places.

I've heard really good things. Its got Jamie "check the arse on my sister" Lanister in it.

Saw Cabin In The Woods over the weekend and it's a good film but not the twisty turvey brilliant film people are making out, still worth a watch tho. I'd love to see a Japanese remake of it using their style of horror.

I was watching the film and I guessed the ending wrong, I thought they were going to do a role switch and have the stoner actually be the virgin as they had that conversation earlier where he only made out with the blonde girl and never slept with her.

End of conversation!! Nobody fucks with The Jesus.

Although is it really a cameo as he was in more than one scene?

- Alec Baldwin in Glengarry Glen Ross

- Christopher Walken in Pulp fiction

- Bill Murray in Zombieland.

    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
