also, up to the final 2 episodes of the west wing which is an easy 10/10....the debate in season 7 between the two presidential candidates, which they performed live (twice, both for east coast and west) was stunningly brilliant. Gonna watch the remaining two tonight.

Just coming to the end of season 3. Loved this series so much. Some of the things which annoyed me first time round are starting to grate tho. The way charactres are used to explain some of the more complicated issues, usually Donna asks a dumb question, so Josh can explain it. I understand why its needed, cos some of it is complicated, but its just done in such a leaden way

Off to see Zack and Miri make a porno tonight....not really sure about it myself but it's written and directed by Kevin Smith and I've liked Seth Rogan's other films so gonna give it a go!

Also just started reading the Bourne Identity - only on chapter 3 so far but it's so different to the film already! Everyone keeps telling me the book is better but I love all the Bourne films...maybe I should've read the books first!!

David Lynch's best film is Lost Highway. An absolute head f**k of a film but still amazing. I love the scene when he meets the creepy man at the party.

MYSTERY MAN : We've met before, haven't we?

FRED: I don't think so. Where was it that you think we've met?

MYSTERY MAN: At your house. Don't you remember?

FRED: No, no I don't. Are you sure?

MYSTERY MAN: Of course. In fact, I'm there right now.

FRED: What do you mean? You're where right now?

MYSTERY MAN: At your house.

FRED: That's absurd.

MYSTERY MAN: Call me.

Fred snickers, like this is a bad joke. The Mystery Man puts

the phone into Fred's hand.

MYSTERY MAN: Dial your number. Go ahead.

MYSTERY MAN (on phone): I told you I was here.

    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
    • Keep in mind those crowds were full of teenagers. Glasto aint full of teenagers. Theres no way she could demand headline and get it because they got other acts to give the slot to who deserve it with a bigger catalog. Reading/Leeds would headline her cause its still LN.  If the fest was struggling its Other headline. But a 3rd down Pyramid is likely the landing spot. Itll go down like the Camila Cabello performance pretty much.
