He quoted Marx directly and the criticism he gave the King's authority was astonishingly concise to that end. The context was a fuedal society, instantly making it absurd. That's just f**king clever that like. No two ways about it.

You are right - it's funny because it's so obviously out of context. The "By a simple majority for purely internal affairs" bit, brilliant. It's like some of Douglas Adams stuff - putting in a top heavy bureaucracy into a gleeming futuristic age.

very good movie. got it on dvd a year or so back. I agree about the ending..."shudders too"

to anyone interested you're looking for the french/netherlands release (dutch title; spoorloos); not the englishAmerican remake with kiefer sutherland, jeff bridges, sandra bullock etc.

    • Whilst I kind of agree, Parkway did it in 24 after subbing in 23.
    • Be good to see a map soon. They do seem to have lost some stages over the last few years - Beats & Swing that was in the carpark; Casemate, behind the Castle Stage; also the stage along Market Way for local bands; one of the bandstands. And what's happening with the comedy this year? Having it on the main stage last year really didn't work, although I appreciate there was a lot of work going on along the seafront. Even inside Southsea Castle they used to have live music. Just seem to be paying more and more money each year, but actually getting a lot less in terms of stages and acts.
    • what's the point when they only played 2 years ago?
    • I f**ked up and bought a car park ticket for sunday, got it delivered to my old address. Will I be able to buy a pass on the gate? Thoughts on muddyness from 0-10?
    • I am as well not a fan of these side by side stages. too many people at the same places and you have always people around you who wait for the other stage...
