We took vodka, gin etc with lemondae or red bull in plastic water bottles this year and they did not take it off us and we hid our wine bags from boxes under jumpers etc.. they were not bothered this year, did not want you walking in with cans and glass bottles but everything else went

We walked straight past them and they were not bothered, I don't think the security at Weston was good this year they were not even checking wrsit bands getting into the camping at night, we had two friends and their tickets had gone wrong and they walked straight in every night no problem

This year was my first and i did get searched on sat and sun on the way in...

However i used a camel pack hidden discreetly in the lining of my satchel bag. just cut a hole the the little zip part and pushed it in through there. Even though they emptied my bag they never found it!

i managed to smuggle in 6 cans... just put them in one of the draw string sports bags and put it under my cardi..they didnt even notice!! what really annoyed me tho was wen i was burtsing for the loo and the queues were ridiculous so me n my boyfriend went to the ones in yellow campsite coz there was no queue and they were clean, then wen we went to go back in they wouldnt let us in with beer we had actually bught in there..they were in the big carling cups!!! that really p***ed me off!! i dont see what difference it made if we had only just bought it in there!! had to stand at the gate n drink it!! good job we only had one each!!!

This year was a doddle because all I tried to smuggle was JD & coke, last year lost a camelback 1l which had neat vodka in it to security...

I was at Weston and managed to get a Oasis bottle (500ml?) filled with some random cheap cherry flavour alcopop in by having in wrapped in my poncho at the bottom of my bag and carrying a bottle of water - when you have you drinks out they seem to search you less as you look like you're openly showing them what you have with you.

Disturbingly the old security bloke was more interested in fondling my wristband and forearm than checking my bag

Next year I think its time to fill another platypus water carrier with alcohol and try my luck.

Smuggled loads into the arena...every night. I always used the entrance to the arena which was manned by some young lads...they didn’t give a f**k. The other entrance i saw people being searched all the time. Mind you at Reading I got searched twice while hiding booze....they still didn’t find it (the dumb fool only patted my right hand side down).

At all festivals I take Vodka or Sambuca into the arena in a water bottle, not got caught yet. (bet I will now though :P )

This guy infront of me, he had 2 cans in his back pocket and they we're like ' Read the signs no Cans' and they took it off him just like that.

F'In bastards but on the Saturday no one got checked for bags.

to be honest i think its quite random....i saw quite a few peeps having beer taken off then, but then me and my mates took loads in every night?? It depends who is on the gate...how dodgy you look...e.t.c

My girlfriend used to walk up to security with her bag already open for them to check, bottle of water in hand and showing her wrist band - because she was so eager they never even looked in her bag or at her wrist band and waved her through. EXCEPT......the bottle of water she was holding was Sambuca....she had booze hidden in the bottom of her bag....and more booze hidden on her person!

I also saw people throwing booze over the fence into the arena.....i wouldn't suggest that though.....imagine a can hitting you on the noggin!!

I had a 2L camelbak filled with Southern Comfort and lemonade for the daytimes. Put it on underneath my t-shirt and had a long sleeved top wrapped round my shoulders to hide the straps and bulge on my back. Looked a prick but got my alcohol in!

Didn't bother trying to smuggle anything in but I could easily have done with hindsight.

Sat - Took backpack in and the guy opened the zip about 2 inches, saw a bog roll and waved me past. Went back out later and strolled though on the way back in.

Sun - Backpack again and strolled past.

Dammit! B)

I got three cans of Carling (not mine I might add, I have better taste!) through up my hoodie sleeves!! They didn't even check me. Because my cousin was in front of me drinking the dregs of his can and they told him off so while they were pre occupied with him, I just shood my head and looked all "you poor security people, these lads must think ur stupid" and they just waved me and the girls past, I had just the three cans for my cousin. But the girls had vodka, alcopops, malibu, soco. Loads of stuff. It's all about the way you act and the way you look! My cousin looks abit chavy so I knew they'd go after him!

You can hide cans in cake boxes, I took some empty Jaffa Cake boxes, put the cans in and sealed the lid of the box.

The security guard felt the boxes and asked what they were, explained they were Jaffa Cakes, he saw the boxes and let me in.

If you carry a poncho, you can wrap cans in the poncho and put the poncho in a side pocket, so long as you don't wrap the drink up too tighly no-one will suspect anything.

One I've heard for girls to try is to put 'ladies things' (tampons, make up, toiletries) at the top of the bag and have a male security guard search the bag, usually they are too embarrased to go rooting through the bag.

I think that if you are a little savvy, and don't take too much drink in, it's quite easy to sneak a little stash into the arena. Just act normal and as if you have nothing to hide, it's usually quite straightforward.

Don't forget you can always get some drinking done on your way to the arena, it's OK to have drinks outside of the arena!

I smuggled two litres of vodka and red bull into Weston Park, really easily. It was a pain, cos i had to unbluckle my pants, and put it down the back of them by my bottom. But then i just breezed through. Saw thousands of others with Bottles glass etc
