Alchemy Festival
Katie Challis will be offering a massage service at Alchemy by donation here is a bit about what she does: I practise Tui Na, which is a form of Chinese deep tissue massage. It is rigorous and energetic, and is effective on a wide range of complaints from sports injuries and strains to daily complaints, such as headaches, tension and sleeping disorders. It combines physical manipulation of the tissues and specific massage techniques along with 'Eastern' medical philosophies, making use of acupressure and the body's meridians. It has proved useful for stretching those muscles that have carried bags, slept in tents and danced hard, along with the a whole array of other discomforts. I am also a reiki level 2 practitioner, for those interested in energy healing. Reiki is non-massage technique that uses the Universal energy to heal the body as it's best needed. It is channelled through the hands, which are placed on the body, particularly on areas that are painful or in need of extra attention. It can be a relaxing, relieving and re-energising experience. He has firmly established himself in the Psy-Trance community and quickly become a name to look out for. Set to feature heavily on the calendar at some of the major Psy-Trance festivals in Europe next year Krisyon is now working on projects with some of the scene’s most established artists. With remixes in progress, an EP/LP planned for release in 2010 this is a big year ahead for one of the scene’s most exciting, emerging talents.
