  1. Some friends can no longer come this weekend, so we have a couple of full weekend (camping) tickets available. They’re happy to take £150 per ticket, and can be emailed over! Cheers.
  2. They’d need to be on way earlier for that to work, as would be loading into VU later afternoon latest…
  3. Agreed. Definitely two underwhelming headliners this year aimed much too much at the one same market.
  4. Mainstream maybe, but I don’t think booking Wolf Alice for their first (but almost certainly not last) UK headliner is all that ‘safe’ personally. Latitude has a good history of promoting UK bands to the top of the bill, and that should be as important as natural top-liners moving forward imho.
  5. I’m vegan, and have no qualms with it whatsoever. (To clarify, far removed from the militant end of the spectrum and put it down to personal choice, so can only speak for myself!)
  6. Yeah, Field Day is definitely far and away the strongest. Still don’t think it’ll sell out, though! The precedent for freebies is too strong!
  7. True enough, but a band like Tame Impala play really pretty regularly. I’m not a fan, Currents aside, and have seen them three or four times. For me, Gorillaz is the one I’m surprised to see not selling out, but their stock must be considerably lower than I would’ve thought!
  8. Definitely felt like a cool thing in 2019, but more as a one-off as it’s in no way a venue. Second time of asking, it’s a bit tired.
  9. Point taken, but they’re also acts who’ve played over here — very regularly — pre-pandemic. There is nothing exclusive about that line up whatsoever.
  10. They’ve also neglected to book anything you wouldn’t be able to see elsewhere relatively easily this summer. Granted, there are UK exclusives, but from acts with a good amount of European dates. So there’s no real need to travel too far for any of them.
  11. The cheap / freebie bit will be doing nothing to help ticket sales either.
  12. 1. Paul McCartney 2. Wolf Alice 3. Phoebe Bridgers. Friday was phenomenal!
  13. No, me neither. Was at the back of the field for that one, and there was no room for manoeuvre whatsoever.
  14. Dolly was bigger, right? And just as bad! At least there’s no question Diana was singing live.
  15. Would bloody love Banshees on the Other.
  16. Does it really? Where? The WG bit has been a shitshow for a while, but elsewhere, it’s really not that bad.

    Wolf Alice

Best I’ve ever seen them. So good.
  18. In fairness, no festival books absolutely every slot perfectly. JP really isn’t so busy right now, and two years off… Wet Leg was rammed but it wasn’t dangerous by any stretch.
  19. Looked very much like it was being constructed yesterday, so would think it’ll be in situ tonight.
  20. Not too sure about that, but it’s still TBC on the board by the stage.
  21. The TBC up here is at 10.
