  1. Enjoy my favourite drink? Look, if theyve got pints of Omnipollo Noa pecan mudcake imperial stout, i'll be very content with that 😄 something tells me it'll be the same fairly standard and mildly acceptable pints though
  2. Its so unimaginative, year after year the same nonsense. I do like the digs at stewards though, that's the only funny bit to be fair
  3. *checks watch* aaah, its time, its idiot o'clock!
  4. smoked pineapple daiquiri at m&s - holy shitballs, these are good. get on board. Trialled them cold, lovely, next trial will be unrefrigerated but im sure they'll still be pretty good
  5. Spurs have drawn twice out of the last six league games at anfield, so no, its not a default at all. You crack on though.
  6. Look, i'll happily take Spurs losing 10-0 at Anfield if it helps 😁
  7. An average would be about 30k steps i reckon. I've done 51k a day, i think thats my glastonbury max, and my lowest has been 25k-ish. Perhaps as important as steps and upping your comfortable step limit, is some leg stretches and lower back/core support for when you're stood watching a set or two - a bit of yoga is a great thing for the morning after long walks, i'm such a convert to it!
  8. We'll need spoons. Big spoons. and perhaps Little spoons too.
  9. Reluctantly, i will take on the job of Pudding chaser, and will comb the site on monday and tuesday ahead of gate opening to find out what other goodies could potentially be at least a part replacement for the Crumble Shack. They'd best bring their A game though.
  10. ☹️ ah ffs, this is a hundred times worse than Coldplay turning up everywhere - i was looking forward to Crumble shack a bare minimum of three times
  11. I havnt, and don't know if i would, i've been ticketless before and just sought the volunteering route and now find myself there every year as a result. If that fell through and the ticket fairies weren't smiling upon me, then i'd definitely consider sneaking in via nefarious means - but it'd need to be something that doesn't necessitate having a big brass neck and blagging, cos i'd not be capable of that - and any kind of aggression or running through people wouldnt be my style either. No fence climbing or daft stuff - i'd have to be snuck in the back of a truck. Of course then i'd be shitting myself all weekend about being outed as a wristbandless bastard, and that would irk me too! so dunno lol is my answer, which is pleasingly fence-sitting
  12. Its a good read, but fkme i wouldnt want to be stuck in a lift with the fella, for a whole host of reasons. Starting with the butter!
  13. bloody hell, thats an extra challenge in a wheelchair, its a bugger to climb as it is! fair play to her 👍
  14. Once you've got a Fresh n Black, you'll be angry at not having succumbed sooner - they're genuinely magical. Cooler, darker, with the inflatable poles theyre up in no time at all, they're an absolute gamechanger and there's no way i'd go back to a standard tent any more. (repeats ad nauseum) fresh n black! fresh aaaand black!
  15. i think theyve got a different festival appearance on the saturday, a punk/grindcore thingo in manchester i believe - so they'd be thurs or fri at glastonbury only. They're great live too, i'll definitely head along and give em a watch
  16. Exactly my experience too. Maybe we shouldnt be telling people about it or it'll be uncontrollably rammed!
  17. It seems that i only got so easily into Skindred and ho99o9 at the truth stage thursday last year cos everyone else was stuck in the crowds at bloody Example ffs 😁 happy with that as a going plan this year, hang around the SE corner cos most people are flocking to the glade
  18. I've seen Bank of Skulls a couple of times, always quite liked em despite the transparently obvious White Stripes ripoffness - i just think its a bit sus that the rest of the Pixies (or more likely, Black Francis and the guys who do as they're told for a quiet and fairly lucrative life) have to have a female bass player for balance, but that they dont want her to hang around for too long. Kim Deal is obvs my fave of the four, but they've all been cool
  19. The Pixies are now onto their fourth bass playing woman having sacked off Paz, its a strange state of affairs 😄 give your daughter the L7 album bricks are heavy, the bass playing on that is great!
  20. I've never identified with a comment on here so much, its like you're reaching into my brain and transcribing my exact thoughts and feelings. I cant be in the same room as that song. (That and the Sheeran faux irish abomination that i wont even utter the name of because it sickens me so much)
  21. Admittedly its about 15-18 years ago but when i saw the Breeders they were great, it was a tiny little gallery in south london alongside a 4AD exhibition of images so it wasnt even a proper dedicated music venue, but they had a lovely old time on stage and all the crowd did too - i'm very much up for seeing them again
  22. absolutely word for word this! its quite a result actually, lots of 'quite fancy' but no 'must see and will swap all my shifts and donate my firstborn to be front and centre' acts just yet. Truth stage yet to be announced ofc and thats typically where i would see the most interesting stuff the last few years, so its a good position to be in as a volunteer 👍
  23. Yep! and admittedly i'm basing not seeing her on the top five tracks on spotify, which arent for me. Thats the limit of my research - give em a burl, see if anything draws me in, then give an album a bash all the way through, and research further if its buttering my muffins. She's failed at step one 😄
  24. none for me, but im not keen on the pyramid - i'd far rather be somewhere smaller so the act im seeing can be seen with my actual eyes, rather than via screens! No issue with any of em, love the idea of new headliners etc, they're just not for me. Ill see PJ and LCD and stay out of the field for the weekend 👍
  25. Seems like a colossal own goal not to have the Mary Wallopers on the bill, they've got a bit of momentum and are really bloody good live too
