I've always felt they were quite interchangeable really, with regards who could be booked for either slot. Other headliner is 'bigger' though probably, marginally.

Just thinking back to the Euro's final, is there something a society that comes along every once in awhile where you suddenly get an increase of people on the blag etc?

We do this. But have ended up at both this year. 🙂 After my first in 2000 we said 'I am going to this every year for the rest of my life', but as other things come in to play (kids!), we accept there will be years off due to tickets or circumstance..., but hopefully more years on than off. After 2007 is the only year I've thoughts 'I'm not going next year', but actually the conscious decision not to go re-invigorated 2009 for me.

I loved it! .................... But I did feel for the Mrs and kids, who I thought I had now well trained in the Beatles hits, but in honesty he'd lost them a bit when he'd been playing for about 1hr 30 before he got to the longer run of them. That said, felt soooooo lucky to be in that field, in the presence of greatness. 80 years old and he has still got it. I hope one day they will look back and think they were lucky that their folks took them to see a Beatle at the greatest festival in the world. 🙂 (I thought he could have thrown in Yesterday though!)

Felt similar to recent years to me. The top of the Pyramid on Sunday gets very uncomfortable.

Proposed to the Mrs at the top of the Tor (out of festival season) 14 years ago.... now married 13 with two sprogs... bringing them to the festival for the first time this year. I'm certain this is what we've always done, even though it kinda tells you not to. I had the same question as the original poster actually... as the info on the website suggests you can't do this, I am CERTAIN we have done most years. Why is it despite going numerous times I can still get myself in a panic the night before about which journey to take? FWIW, I think I will be taking the >Bath>A36>A39>Wells>Glastonbury. I think that's what we did last time, although that was Wednesday night.

2005 Sunday was roasting with Brian Wilson playing. Had to make a paper hat. From my memory it was lovely except either Wednesday or Thursday night?

2007 was horrific as noted. It wasn't so much as just mud or run, just the constant dampness with barely a minute of sunshine. (although I do remember the Wednesday was glorious?). Current forecasts all look OK.

We sang it at the Cider Bus until around 2am from what I remember. Great night!

Was there in 2004, and can't wait to be there again. This time with the kids. 🙂
