I too did recycling Crew this year for the first time. I was post festival shifts, was pretty hard work and I racked up around 250,000 steps over 7/8 days. The Tuesday-Thursday shifts are 8am to 5pm and are hard work. You basically go around every single camping field clearing the litter. We did 8 campsites in record time this year apparently so they sent us out to the car parks Thursday I was pretty knackered by Thursday and consider myself reasonably fit. The camaraderie was good and I met some great people. I will be applying again next year but will ask for in festival shifts I think as 10/11 days from getting there the Monday before the festival was a tough gig.

I found an orange health and safety band. No idea if it got you in anywhere but wasn't about to try as if challenged or asked a question I wouldn't have a clue lol

Going way to hard last year leading to a visit to Bath hospital Thursday night and an overnight stay. Irregular heartbeat was picked up by medical services. Gotta say FMS and the Campsite Crew were f**king brilliant and I have contributed to FMS

Seen a few people at magor services in Wales with Glastonbury bands on I'm about to go back to site to work

Agree, I took another phone with a Vodafone sim that was much better than my o2 one

Don't suppose anyone doing post festival shifts for recycling crew or any other knows which gate you need to come through to get back on site? I popped home last night for some comfort and am driving back on site about 6pm today. Recycling office thought they might reverse the flow out of purple and I might need to use Red Gate? Thanks

I have a few bands on as working but also last years band. Alot of the stewards in re-entry were tugging last years band and letting me thru despite wearing a crew band. Seems they thought last years was this years

It's an interesting one as lots of my mates who are regular goers are saying 5 days is too much now were older. I haven't been getting on site each day till around 4pm due to heat and knowing I'm working post festival for recycling crew

I don't normally comment anything bad about glasto as I've been 14 times and always have a cracking time..but just exited the park and it was carnage, total crowd block, police and stewards couldn't really do alot about it. There were people converging from all angles. Felt very uncomfortable, particularly as I suffer from anxiety.. However, I made it out the other side and into the Tow and Hitch crew bar to calm down.
