  1. I know people have already spoken about peeing on the land but the pissing in cups chat reminded me of another grim site I saw where some drunk lady changed her tampon at the other stage behind me while her friend poorly tried to hide what she was doing. The loooos are right there you can literally see the stage from the loo queues at the back of the field just use themmm 😷😫
  2. High but spent a bit less than my allocated budget which I'm pleased about. A lot of that was down to it being hot so less hungry and cba to wait in queues. Brought a ton of own booze and snacks which helped although were very heavy to lug around the site all day! Barely bought anything from the bars (maybe 3 pints the whole week? Which I'd originally planned as my daily allowance!) as with the heat I found myself drinking more water/cheaper soft drinks than usual to stay hydrated in the day and got through my own stash at a slower pace than expected!
  3. Had greek loaded chips somewhere near BBC introducing for £6 which were great. Tons of meat and veggies and probably the best value meal I had the whole week. Didn't eat anything terrible but had a few disappointing meals for the price. Bought an Indian wrap near West Holts one night that was about £13 for 3 tiny bits of chicken and was still starving after.
  4. Suppose that's what I wanted to figure out if it's me getting older or the crowd actually changing! But then I'm working class and have been going to Glastonbury since I was 15 and can't say me or my friends ever felt the need to throw my dirty pants in someone's tent or nick their tent pegs for a laugh ...
  5. Yeah agree with this completely. Think the lot at our camp site must have been parked there sniffing bags all day long until heading to the SE corner. Noticed ton more drugs at the stages this time like you said and that's from someone who's happy to partake now and then after the headliners too. Just felt a bit agro at times!
  6. Sorry if anyone else has posted a similar topic but interested in hearing others experiences! I've been going to Glastonbury for almost 15 years now and never had any issues until now. We decided to set up in paines Wednesday morn no (after our trolley gave out on the walk to oxylers hahaha 🙈) and initially had no issues. Then Thursday eve we returned to a group of 8 teenage scousers who'd essentially set up their tent essentially on top of our porch in paines. The whole weekend their behaviour was awful! Came back to them essentially sitting inside our tent porch, washing their hair and getting the inside of our tent soaked, nicking our pegs, throwing nos cannisters/rubbish/dirty clothes into our tent. The outside of our tent was an absolute tip. Tried politely talking to them but essentially got told to f**k off "it's a festival what do you expect" and security weren't much help. Really should have moved looking back but just worried about finding more space and wasting a load of time after speaking to the stewards who recommended that we stay where we were. Put a massive damper on the weekend for me and my girlfriend and made us both really anxious every time we went back to the tent as the whole atmosphere was just aggressive. Packed up today and noticed someone has vommed on the side of our tent too which is just the icing on the cake. Were we just unlucky or has the general atmosphere changed? Missed out on tickets last year so this is my first year post covid and noticed a lot more entitlement and aggression in general amongst the crowd too. Had a great weekend despite but has honestly made me a little hesitant to even try for tickets for next year.
  7. I agree with this! 2011 was my first year and remember getting drenched during u2 and feeling pretty miserable! Also remember queing for hours on the wed morning at gate A in the pissing rain too. Then Sunday being looovely and the feeling of finally being able to take my wellies off. Definitely was a mixed bag year!
  8. I vaguely remember this from 2011. It was fairly muddy at the start of the week and had sore feet/tired legs, we randomly stumbled across this hotel themed venue in Shangri la. I vaguely remember swapping my wellies for slippers at the door and it was bliss.
  9. All this talk about crowding makes me a bit nervy. It's my first time back since 2017 and already felt like there were too many people on site then.
  10. Like others have said if you've not got many arriving late I'd just take their tents and set them up. I've done that twice when in a small group and it's a bit of a pain but meant we could all camp quite centrally together.
  11. This is our plan too. I think we're going to try to have an early night and hopefully get to the site a couple hours before gates open. Although granted we won't have kids with us which definitely makes things a bit easier! If we'd decided to take my step son I probably would have aimed to get to site later in the day on the Wednesday in hope the queues had quietened. Although I think half the time it's just luck!
  12. Only been to the acoustic tent once in 2014 (?) to see kacey Musgraves. Remember there being a lot of chairs/blankets but easy enough to maneuver around and practically walked up to the barrier as it was dead up front.
  13. Never done the queue but did contemplate it this year for the first time. Previous years I've always relied on either the coach or a lift so arrival time was dependent on other people. Never slept in the queue but have arrived by coach early morn and always found that ok for a decent spot but suppose that's as they prioritise coach arrivals! This year will be driving and it'll also be the first year I'll be coming since moving up north. With about 3-4 hours added to my journey I was tempted to drive down Tuesday Eve and sleep in the queue but don't want to start the festival knackered. Instead lucked out and booked a cheap ish b&b a couple miles away. Planning on arriving there early Tuesday Eve, grabbing a few hours sleep/fresh shower and then driving over to the festival for around 4:30/5. Ideally want to camp in oxylers again but won't be too heartbroken if we end up having to camp further out.

Hmm the only ones I'm that fussed about are Rina and Caroline who look like they'll likely be clashing with Lizzo and Elton. That's a shame 💔
  15. I bought the exact same tent a few weeks ago! Haven't had a chance to test it out yet but well excited to put it up. Looking forward to the extra room after using a small eurohike for years.
