Some of my friends have been going as long as me (since 2004) but take occasional breaks from going, the only thing they ever comment on is it getting bigger....I will say that for me, post Jay-Z in 2008 I noticed that the the 'clientele' got a lot more 'mainstream' rather than mostly people who were into guitar bands.

Fairly sure my first year of going (2004) I saw people banking cheques!

TBH, its not really on something like that...I do wonder though if the person they gave them to knew she was going to get them as part of being a 'social media influencer' and they set it up as it was such a random tweet to pull out of nowhere from 6 months ago. Be interesting to see how many posts she makes over the weekend with Vodaphone tagged in them!

Have they actually explained to anyone why they allowed that to happen?

I actually hit one of my friends phone out of his hand in 2017 after three days of him being on his phone pretty much all the time. Was doing my head in.

If you find yourself with a spare few mins either queuing up for the toilet/beer/food or waiting for an act to come on don't just get your phone out and play on it, talk to someone near you or have a look at what else is going on in your vicinity, I can almost guarantee it will be more interesting than scrolling through Twitter or trying to get 4G signal.

I usually camp 'behind the park' (that's now been lost for this year sadly) and the tents are much more tightly packed in than those pictures.

I've got six pockets in my shorts, then two big zip up pockets in my jacket if I've got that round my waist....8 pockets of stuff is plenty. 🙂

Pocket tissues...or if you're really stuck ask the campsite stewards/loo crew for some. You don't need to be carrying around a full roll unless you've been at the curries! 😄

I have my wallet and phone in either pocket, and small travel suncream in one of my other pockets (like Skip I wear cargo shorts so multiple pockets) That's all you really need! If I want a jumper/jacket just in case it goes around my waist until I need to use it. Sometimes when leaving camp I'll take a couple of cans with me to start then buy from bars....go back to camp to reload if required.

Yes, welcome to us last year when they were late! Should be with us somepoint next week.

One thing that grinds my gears is a large majority of people who now carry 'day bag's' full of crap.....unless its being used to carry alcohol around its probably not really needed or can fit into pockets and is far too sensible for people who are supposed to be getting off their heads for 5 days straight. The main issue is people don't tend to ditch the day bags at night, then when you're trying to dance to a DJ or band in the dark you have to swerve around peoples giant rucksacks swinging about the place. Jumpers around waists, everything else in pockets. Done. (btw no need to thrown hissy fits in response about your medication, or whatever else you particularly take around with you that's essential, its just a general comment and meant to be in a light hearted way 🙂 )

The official guidance from the festival organisers if you're coming in via public transport is to come in via Ped Gate A and walk down to the entrance

Our usual camp spot (behind the park) has gone to Arcadia crew now so looking for a new home…think our advance party are going to head for Paines ground as close to where we used to camp as possible.

My friends queue overnight with the tents so coach time doesn’t overly make any difference to me…although 3pm Thurs would make me feel like i had missed a lot of the build up.

I always try to use them just before I get 'in position' for a band, or if you're watching from further back I usually try to stand near ish toilets so I don't miss too much of what I'm watching.

If you're going to be out partying till it gets light...take your sunglasses with you. 😉

I'm hoping this will be a one off...but suspect it won't be. Someone I know had it from too much dairy!

I think these guys are really good and are onto something with them but they would get a lot more traction if they had more episodes in the build up which is where excitement/anticipation is at its highest, could possibly get more people involved to produce a few more.....as I guess its just Miguel doing all the editing etc. (this is not a criticism just observation!)
