  1. There might be multiple coaches leaving AM and PM....its a popular departure point. 🙂
  2. My friend bagged a resale ticket from Reading last year on the Weds and it left at 3pm from behind the rail station.
  3. Putting this here ahead of the coach times which for those non-regular forum users looking for the answer...last year the emails went out on 25th May 2022 so expect something similar this time round. I'm booked on a Weds return coach from Oxford which last year was an 0615 departure and an 0530 return. Pick up point was Beaumont Street opposite the Ashmoleum Museum 🙂
  4. https://www.glastoearth.com/
  5. It wasn't you...someone else mentioned their mates had paid bots in the last 2-3 sales!
  6. I'll assume my mate will test it before Glastonbury (its being delivered to him)....should be ok....same as you looking forward to having a little more room.
  7. Had a fresh and black small tent for four years now...wouldn't camp without it again. Having bagged a resale ticket last week me and a mate of mine have gone halves on this..being delivered today! https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-with-poles-arpenaz-4-1-f-b-4-persons-1-bedroom/_/R-p-177332?mc=8731616&c=BLUE_TURQUOISE
  8. Last year we got the coach times on the 25th May.
  9. I've seen a couple of people mention on here that they paid (or people they know did) bots to get them tickets...also someone posted a link to a bot script who said they had been using it for the 2019 and 2020 (cancelled) festivals.
  10. I can only go off what I've noticed since I've been going but I noticed the interest in the festival ramp up once Jay-Z headlined in 2008, then further when Beyonce headlined in 2011, then even further after The Rolling Stones headlined in 2013. More recently I think the wall to wall BBC coverage and acts like Stormzy who comes from genres not usually associated with the festival have given it an all inclusive feel which is reflected in the crazy demand for tickets you've seen for the last couple of years.
  11. and the fact the event in general was out of control. I wasn't going then, but plenty of friends were and I've seen and read enough about it to know it couldn't continue in its current format!
  12. but then GFL were told they couldn't have it anymore unless major changes were made after the problems in 2000.
  13. Did the Boomtown Rats have the same sort of worldwide appeal as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Ed Sheeran etc?
  14. MTV in 1993, Channel 4 in 1994 or BBC in 1997 ?
  15. I got a ticket last week in the coach resale, I'm treating it this year as the last one as I think its going to be a lot more difficult getting tickets going forward. The simple maths is there is a lot more people wanting to go than they can let people in, whatever the system people will be upset or claim that it is unfair, ultimately for GFL as long as they sell the tickets with no hiccups over payments etc then its a success whoever gets through the gates.
  16. From my perspective the only reason the sales currently (prior to last week) last as long as they do as peoples payments fail and others are there waiting to take the tickets when they get released back in the pot. So who 'deserves' it more, the person who got through but the payment failed (not their fault) or someone else who didn't get through but by pressing F5 at the right time then sweeps up the released tickets. Either way someone is going to miss out, and as the event could sell 10x over these days there's a lot of disappointed people.
  17. You could go as far to say you needed to be logged into your glastonbury account and your pot of 6 gets allocated an unique code...once that unique code is entered then it auto purchases for all 6 people on an already saved debit/credit card, saves having to type in reg numbers and postcodes etc.
  18. Will be your original address, they only need to see the photo at the gate.

    The Glade

I even recall this issue when I went to see Andy C at Arcadia in 2013, the year it was inbetween the Glade and the Other stage.

    The Glade

I went to it last year on the Sunday night about 1am....could have a conversation with your mate next to you whilst the music was on!
  21. She'll be pulling that face a lot in the SE Corner too!
  22. And some of the people that persevere feel that they are more entitled to a ticket to those that don't (or can't)
  23. Not doubting the win but that looks set up to me!
  24. Yes, a kind efester got me a coach resale ticket.
  25. This issue was why I ended up sweating it in the resales!
