  1. He’s confirmed on the Nowhere stage.
  2. I think think Roni Size & Reprazent will need a bigger stage than the Temple. It’s a full live band.
  3. Isn’t The Park TBA on Sat night already known to be Roni Size Reprazent?
  4. What sort of queue time should we expect if coach is due to arrive around 7:30 am on Wednesday?
  5. Fist day back at work, every year “Who did you see at Glastonbury?” ”Umm, I can’t really remember. Please don’t ask me any questions. I’m feeling a bit fragile.”
  6. Doghouse Derelicts has a couple of (possibly former) Pistoleros.
  7. Thought about it but never got round to buying any. Also Magnesium but I heard that can loosen the bowels which could be problematic at the festival.
  8. No solid info. Just that they are announced for some UK dates and they appear to be available.
  9. I might be wrong but I thought TEED have self confirmed.
  10. The areas East and South of the Other Stage are great for a Wednesday walk about. If you think of The Other Stage as centre of a clock, the areas between 2 o’clock and 7 o’clock are where I would spend Wednesday afternoon and night. The new Woodsies area might be worth a look but it’s a bit out of the way and I think the number of options and variety on the other side of the site has the most to offer on Wednesday.
  11. Increases the trek for many that will arrive by coach. Seems an odd decision.
  12. Levels is just Sonic with a different name?
  13. Thanks @Neil you can be very proud of what you have created and will probably never know just how much this site means to so many people.
  14. I’d expect she’s with a live band not just Eva and a DJ.
  15. featuring seventy mutated vintage British and American cars, repurposed funfair rides and a Lear jet.
  16. 🤔 those foundations would carry more than just a few cars…
  17. 1. At least half of the food stalls serve overpriced rubbish. 2. Novelty acts should not be advertised anywhere 3. People that rope/tape off their camping spot should be relocated to a special camping area outside of the fence
  18. Saw her in 2018 headlining Leopallooza. An excellent live performance although on a much smaller stage than West Holts. She’s featured (with Calvin Harris, ODB, Andre 3000…) on a lot of very recognisable tracks that she plays in her live set. I was surprised by the West Holts announcement, but looking at the alternatives, I could easily find myself there on the Friday night
  19. 100% the slog is real and unavoidable. Trying to rush on site as early as possible is a choice that can add to the stress. Unless you want to camp in a particularly popular area, or you want to camp together as a group, I personally wouldn’t bother. For me, the festival is at its best once everyone has acclimatised and begin to act differently than they might in the outside world. Queueing for hours and scrambling for a camping spot are behaviours I associate with the outside world that I’m escaping for a few beautiful days. Although no matter how relaxed I try to make the arrival process, the feeling once inside the fence, and again once the tent is pitched, are pure bliss.
  20. I think your plan is fine. I wouldn’t stress about the arrival time if you’re coming alone, you don’t have a huge tent and you’re not looking to camp in a specific area. Stroll in anytime before 2pm on Wednesday and you’ll still have plenty of good options. There’s a lot to take in when arriving for the first time. Nothing can really prepare you for the size an beauty of the place. I suggest taking your time and soaking up the atmosphere. You don’t necessarily need a higher camp spot if it’s a wet year. Try to avoid being in a dip where a puddle could form around you and I would always avoid being downhill from toilets or taps. Be cautious about camping too close to a major walkway in a busier part of the site. That might be a bit tricky to identify if it’s your first time. Spots that look perfect on Wednesday can look very different by Friday pm. Do ask your neighbours or stewards for advice.
  21. Is SH a genuine late night/early morn alternative to the slog to the SE corner? I always thought SH finished relatively early. I have (unreliable) memories of walking from the old Blues Stage to SE corner to continue the night after SH had shut down. The draw of the SE corner must have been strong considering I would have been camping in Pylon.
  22. Neville Staple sets are always bouncing. Maybe extra special this year in celebration of the life of Terry Hall.
