  1. No not really. It looks like its a one off but sure they must be playing more.
  2. INTERPOL - Roundhouse Tuesday 14 June 2022
  3. I forgot The Pixies are about next year, they would be a top booking and probably around the right size.
  4. I thought it was busy this year, imagine how packed it would be with Muse, The Killers & The Cure. That would be some event. I think your suggestion of Blondie would tick a lot of boxes for the older mixed crowd that it seems to attract.
  5. That Saturdrday crowd in particular was huge and don't even remember any day being advertised as sold out at any point.
  6. I was very surprised by just how big Victorious is and the amount of people who attended. I dont know if this year was more then I will take a punt on these but not even sure who will be about next year. Fri - Bombay Bicycle Club Sat - Liam Gallagher Sun - Wolf Alice
  7. This was my first visit to Victorious and I thought Friday and Saturday were far to busy with all the issues that creates. Sunday was a lot better and so a more pleasurable experience. I am in my 50's and so it takes a lot to impress me and I am often even more critical of artists I like. I though Madness were poor and I ama fan. Even more dissapointing was Manics who I serious like but they were just ok nothing to get excited about. The highlights for me muscially were Blossoms, Fratellis, Glasvegas, Black Honey, The Snuts & Jade Bird. Enjoyed lots of other stuff like Feeder,The Kooks, Royal Blood and Hookys Karaoke. I was going to make a comment about Pigs x7 but they seem popular around here, so maybe not. Oh well, I will ask anyway. Are they spinal tap? I am seriously missing something there. I thought they where just going to be bad and then all of a sudden shock the audience by being good. As soon as they put up the Pigs X7 logo, I commented to my partner they will not like that. Very funny band but as the set went on I stated to doubt it was a joke and are they may be a "serious band" ? well in the world they live in. Anyway found them great fun but trully aweful at the same time. I was leaving to get something to eat when they started talking about headlining and the logo in Royal Blood font. I did not go to far so could eat andstill soak up the "experince" of the badness of the rest of the set. Still can not work out whether putting them on the main stage was a stroke of genious or just complete madness.
  8. You were not completly wrong, tickets for the London Grammer/Jorja Smith day were made available on a number of restricted sites with controlled membership "Emergency Services/Government Department Staff Only" and "Charity" websites. So you were correct that there would be spares its just they are now being more discrete/strict on how they are distributed. So out of the dates this was the day that must have sold worse. I went to the Monday after getting back from Victorious and so a little tired and could not be bothered to run from stage to stage and so watched what I think was the West stage from Holly Humberstone to BBC. Really enjoyed everyone on that stage and thought Bombay were ace and enjoyed them more then watching them at the Islington Assembly Hall last week. The only time I went to the other main stage was for Foals. Like others, I was shocked by how bad the sound was on the other stage for Foals. Lasted about an hour before I just gave up on them. I thought they were dull even without the sound issues and I am a fan! There was an endless stream of people leaving complaining about how bad it was. Doubt they would have won over many new fans and dissapointed a few of their current ones.
  9. Already decided it’s probably quicker to leave festival and go back to hotel to use the toilet then queue up.
  10. Agree the toilet queue were bad. Also hope opening the other side will help with this. Thought the sound bleed from Strongbow Yard was a pain. Still not 100 percent about large crowds and personal space, so moved back a little for Madness as most moved forward and was spoiled by this. It did not seem like you had to be far back for this to happen.
  11. I would have thought he would be a good shout. Maybe do multiple days like Pearl Jam.
  12. In the current times clashes and over lapping sets is probably seen as a good thing by organisers to disperse festival goers over the whole site.
  13. Yeah, some one pointed it out the other day when I got excited about them being on the same day as BBC. I did think it would be a big ask for him to so 2 sets on the same day. I guess not showing them on the app confirms they are not playing the Monday.
  14. Tickets booked for Foo's. I would like to say that I was also looking forward to St Vincent but have resigned myself to listening to people talk loudly over her set.
  15. My partner received them via email to print.
  16. Very pleased with the Manics, my favourite act out of the whole weekend. I wonder how many people sold their tickets when they were not initially rolled over from last year?
  17. I would imagine its as simple as: A) they are struggling to get some one at the same "level/status" as Ashcroft or B) They have some one signed up but can't release the name due to other commitments that the artist has. Lets hope it's B.
  18. With this gig confirmed then we should be able to expect a few more gigs around that time. I wonder if we will get an actual Community Festival and some of the previously cancelled shows by Kings of Leon or The 1975?
  19. i got the link this morning. Certainly have some of that, plus it means we are likely to have more Finsbury Park concerts around that date.
  20. That would be a shame but I did find it odd that he would being playing 2 sets on the same day as surely the Dukes & Barney set would pull a huge amount of BBC fans even if the music is very different. It would make more sense for them to be on another day. Will keep an eye out for further information.
  21. Only just noticed that Mr Dukes & Barney are on the Monday. Busy day for him.
  22. I would be very happy with that and could well explain a late announcement as they have plenty of other shows to sell. Do wish they would just let us know a.s.a.p so if I don’t like them, I can catch up on tracks by the Streets from the last few years.
