  1. Thanks for that as I have tickets for Primal Scream at Ally Pally for the 16th and so hoping that Commmunity would not clash. Which opens up the posability of even more concerts if Community is on another weekend. If you have the stage up for another weekend, you might as well use it.
  2. Are we thinking 16th July for Community? With Sam Fender on 15th & George Ezra 17th July with Festival Republic. Do we think Festival Republic might do more than 1 week end of music?
  3. I did wonder about that as why not make a big thing of saying we still have 2 Castle Headliners to come if you do? I would certainly be happyu with the Wombats headlining.
  4. If no new big names are added, knowing that Suede are not headlining a stage And with Ann-Marie & Nothing But Thieves on the same line of the poster. I would call Anne-Marie headlining Castle with Becky Hill & Example high up that stage lineup. Think Bastille might headline Castle also but who ever plays that day for me they would beat Paulo hands down. Be happy with Bastille or Wombats. Although odd there is no TBC for the Castle headliners or laying out who it is if they are on the poster. Get the feeling I will have plenty of tuff decisions to make based on stages and times. The only easy one to call is I will not be watching Paulo N. Also hoping that Amy McDonald plays some time during the day and does not end up headlining the acoustic stage.
  5. Suede in to Sam Fender, i’m a happy chap. My partner had already told me that I would be going to see Suede on my own while she saw Sammy if they clashed. As seeing him this year at Wembley Arena, Finsbury Park and supporting the Killers is not enough Sam for one year. Still think she might cave and do the extra day at Madcool for more Sam.
  6. Loving the idea that the Castle Headliners are still to be announced and can see the logic as indeed why not point out who they are if they are on the poster. its a loaded lineup even with out the idea of Castle Sat & Sun to come with the TBA on Friday. To be honest the only reason I like the idea of Castle headliners to come is to avoid the Sam/Suede clash.
  7. Am I just clutching at straws that as the announcement was in the order of Paulo, Fender, Anne-Marie, Bastille, Primal Scream & More that they might be confirming Anne-Marie & Bastille as Castle Headliners? Could they be listing the castle headliners with the missing main stage headliners or am I trying to hard to find a reason why Suede & Sam won’t clash. I would have more faith in the theory if they did not mention Primal Scream in the post. Maybe a strong female pop lineup on the Castle on Sunday topped by Anne-Marie?
  8. Blown away, that’s an awesome lineup. Another really hoping Sam & Suede will not clash. So many bands for an indie fan of a certain age.
  9. I wonder is it someone less obvious and not really a efestivals members sort of act like Simple Minds.
  10. Yeah Snow Patrol are, I am a fan and so should have known. Biffy would be class. Just trying to think of other options. Did think Travis but they seemed to have dropped in popularity in recent years.
  11. Yeah, thinking about it they are more likely. Good call.
  12. I hope so, would be very happy with that.
  13. You would think so but its hard to under estimate just how popular Sam Fender is and its not just hype, he is pretty damn good. I have been convinced by others that we will get Sam Fender and would not be surprised if it ended up being an older act like Kasabian or someone like Bombay Bicycle Club (who were low down on the poster before the pandemic)
  14. A new one day festival in Norwich. It looks like it replaces Sunday Sessions that used to take part pre-pandemic at Ealham Park over the Bank Holiday Weekend. From what I have read it sounds like they will have 3 stages.
  15. Thanks for the notification.
  16. That's a pain. I was looking forward to the gig in Hackney but not surprised. Just hope the resceduled gig is on a date I can go.
  17. 1. Suede - Alexandra Palace 2. Biffy Clyro - O2 Forum Kentish Town 3. Sam Fender - Alexandra Palace 4. Gerry Cinnamon - Alexandra Palace 5. Gorrilaz - 02 Arena 6. Biffy Clyro - Dreamland Margate 7. Creeper - O2 Forum Kentish Town 8. Dave Gahan & Soulsavers - London Coliseum 9. Ash - Sign of The Times Festival 10. IDLES - Eden Sessions
  18. The weekend so far does have a very Community Festival feel
  19. Very happy with Stereophonics, Nothing But Thieves, James, Self Esteem, We Ate Scientists & The Wombats. I cant say I know much about many of the other smaller names.
  20. Dales

    Arcade Fire

Yeah, next year it getting pretty expensive and we are still in 2021!
  21. THE TWILIGHT SAD (STRIPPED BACK) TICKETS ON SALE EartH (Theatre) Tuesday, 18 January 2022
  22. Thanks for posting the Metronomy link, unfortuantly clashes with Suede that night otherwise would certainly be interested.
  23. Some very nice additions. Probably enough to temp me now.
  24. With them being at Boardmasters, they may well play other festivals next year so may well turn up at someplace you are going to anyway. I do hate booking gigs a year in advance especially with so much being announced for next year.
