  1. You were not completly wrong, tickets for the London Grammer/Jorja Smith day were made available on a number of restricted sites with controlled membership "Emergency Services/Government Department Staff Only" and "Charity" websites. So you were correct that there would be spares its just they are now being more discrete/strict on how they are distributed. So out of the dates this was the day that must have sold worse. I went to the Monday after getting back from Victorious and so a little tired and could not be bothered to run from stage to stage and so watched what I think was the West stage from Holly Humberstone to BBC. Really enjoyed everyone on that stage and thought Bombay were ace and enjoyed them more then watching them at the Islington Assembly Hall last week. The only time I went to the other main stage was for Foals. Like others, I was shocked by how bad the sound was on the other stage for Foals. Lasted about an hour before I just gave up on them. I thought they were dull even without the sound issues and I am a fan! There was an endless stream of people leaving complaining about how bad it was. Doubt they would have won over many new fans and dissapointed a few of their current ones.
  2. Already decided it’s probably quicker to leave festival and go back to hotel to use the toilet then queue up.
  3. Agree the toilet queue were bad. Also hope opening the other side will help with this. Thought the sound bleed from Strongbow Yard was a pain. Still not 100 percent about large crowds and personal space, so moved back a little for Madness as most moved forward and was spoiled by this. It did not seem like you had to be far back for this to happen.
  4. I would have thought he would be a good shout. Maybe do multiple days like Pearl Jam.
  5. In the current times clashes and over lapping sets is probably seen as a good thing by organisers to disperse festival goers over the whole site.
  6. Yeah, some one pointed it out the other day when I got excited about them being on the same day as BBC. I did think it would be a big ask for him to so 2 sets on the same day. I guess not showing them on the app confirms they are not playing the Monday.
  7. Tickets booked for Foo's. I would like to say that I was also looking forward to St Vincent but have resigned myself to listening to people talk loudly over her set.
  8. My partner received them via email to print.
  9. Very pleased with the Manics, my favourite act out of the whole weekend. I wonder how many people sold their tickets when they were not initially rolled over from last year?
  10. I would imagine its as simple as: A) they are struggling to get some one at the same "level/status" as Ashcroft or B) They have some one signed up but can't release the name due to other commitments that the artist has. Lets hope it's B.
  11. With this gig confirmed then we should be able to expect a few more gigs around that time. I wonder if we will get an actual Community Festival and some of the previously cancelled shows by Kings of Leon or The 1975?
  12. i got the link this morning. Certainly have some of that, plus it means we are likely to have more Finsbury Park concerts around that date.
  13. That would be a shame but I did find it odd that he would being playing 2 sets on the same day as surely the Dukes & Barney set would pull a huge amount of BBC fans even if the music is very different. It would make more sense for them to be on another day. Will keep an eye out for further information.
  14. Only just noticed that Mr Dukes & Barney are on the Monday. Busy day for him.
  15. I would be very happy with that and could well explain a late announcement as they have plenty of other shows to sell. Do wish they would just let us know a.s.a.p so if I don’t like them, I can catch up on tracks by the Streets from the last few years.
  16. Still waIting for my tickets. Sherlock’s way to small to headline. If that’s the only replacement they can get, then surely they will slot them in the lineup further down and bump someone else up to headline. Would be a nice addition but headline! The James Heritage Live even has them in small writing with FEEDER, MAXIMO PARK & THE SNUTS above.
  17. Another potential clash. It's going to be a day of difficult decisions.
  18. That would explain that and yes very niice to have some space. I had empty seats next to me and my partner and room to dance 🙂
  19. It might be pot luck who you might have got going in as to what checks took place. I had my id in my wallet and covid pass saved to my phone but never needed. There were a lot of empty seats and no surprise as when the tickets went on offer, staff may not have known what shifts they would be on. A lot of tickets ended up being wasted for a "sold out" event.
  20. Top notch stuff with plenty of guests. One in particuar was a real surprise and personnel favourite of mine. Won't say who for those who like a surprise (Anyway its easy to find out for those who want to know who guested) I lucked out and got block 101 seats, front row. Great mix of songs new and classics and great atmosphere. Sure you will have a blast. From a practical point of view it was a little odd. I went through O2 priority que always smoother. No check I was NHS or Covid status. I had my bits such as glasses, sanitiser, phone etc in a clear bag, put it on the table and went through scanner and no further security check just waved me on. The new clear bag policy was odd with lots of people being sent to get their bags deposited/locked away and wondering around with their stuff in clear plastic bags but clearly some people still had normal bags on them and in some cases biggish ruck sacks. Enjoy tonight.
  21. Total madness. My partner looked for clear bags on-line last night and a few did reference WWE approved and other American Sports. So does sound like that is indeed the origin of these rules.
  22. Hi Did not know where was best to post this but if you are going to O2 Arena it looks like they have a new clear bag policy. Only got the email today as I have O2 tickets booked in the future. Can't say I have seen this advertised at other venues. The small bag policy has been knocking around for ages at gigs but this is new to me. Worth knowing about if you are heading to the O2. Our bag policy It’s better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all. We will not allow large bags into the venue but you will be permitted to take small clear bags in with you, to allow for contact free bag checks. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm. If you have to bring a large bag with you, you can leave it at our bag storage facility just outside the main entrance to The O2 at a cost of £10 per bag. All bags will be searched and screened before being accepted into the bag storage facility. Bag storage closes 30 minutes after the end of the event. We won’t hold your items overnight, so you must pick them up before the facility closes.
