  1. For example, this is where I'm at to for Sat, but I'd never remember who I'd listened to or not without making them red first -
  2. This is also a benefit I'd not thought of. I'm terrible with names/song titles etc, and I've been dragged to people before and hated it. This would def keep mistakes at bay, lol
  3. Yeah, that does make sense on the face of it, haha. I went through every act I'd never heard of, or couldn't remember, last night on the five main stages/tents, giving each one around 5 songs each to see if I liked them or not, and coloured them as I went along to remember where I was so I didn't listen to them twice etc. I was enjoying a few Cuba Libre's which aided my forgetting names/songs etc and just chose red as the base colour for tagging the ones I'd listened to but didn't like.
  4. A lot of pluses for Sam Fender, gonna have to make sure I catch his set now on iPlayer! Pet Shop Boys in 2014 are one of my biggest clash mistakes at the festival ever, so def gonna catch them too. Can't wait to see what other special performances/moments come out. Still enjoy this one as well -
  5. In terms of breakout memorable Glastonbury moments, a la Chic headlining in 2013, Lizzo 2019, what is everyone thinking about this weekend? There has been a couple of standout performances every year. I know it's fairly subjective, but there's always been a few moments/songs that have blown up outside of the main headliners. Personally, I think when Sampa the Great brings out FEMALE, there's going to be a lotta lotta buzz on the Park. Sun, great setting, great beats, amazingly upbeat tempo. She a queeeeen! What are your predictions for a song or moment that elevates somebody to the star of the festival?
  6. It's always nice to have some cash on you in case of emergencies, or if you feel like whacking down a wad of cash and shouting at your mates/the bar staff that the next drinks are on you! 😉
  7. This is my Friday. Like others have said, it's a great day Friday. Green is high likelihood (I like at least 5-6 songs) Blue is for maybes (one or two songs I like) Red is a hard pass
  8. Fri - Billie/Foals Sat - Macca/SE Corner early doors Sun - Pet Shop Boys
  9. Place was bouncing for their set in 2019 at the Park -
  10. We tried to get into Pennards one year on the Wed but it was already rammed and ended up camping behind the Park, but I don't think I would do that now Arcadia is there. As a semi-old attendee now, the triangle field of Bushy Ground was lovely. Much nicer walking through a quiet/empty Silver Hayes during the morning to get to the main stages than on a tight boardwalk. Was quiet, plenty of space, our campsite never got busier than a few people smoking in the morning before they went into the main areas.
  11. One man's trash, is another man's treasure. I always find it a bit redundant to think there's not enough on offer to have a brilliant time at Glasto. At the first poster I thought to myself there's not so much for me this year, but having delved a bit deeper, there's a considerable amount of bands/artists I'd like to see over the three main days now. That's also down to my lack of research due to other commitments, but it's Glastonbury... there's quality all over the place. Perhaps at a push I'd say that West Holts seems to be lacking (perhaps the wrong word as it sounds too negative) any megastars or legends that they've had in the past (Q-Tip, CeeLo, WuTang, Jaenelle Monae, Lizzo, the Jacksons, Kool & the Gang, plus more), but perhaps that stage is suffering from lack of touring acts or artists having a backlog of their other gigs and tours etc. Even without that element on WH, there's plenty of great bands to have a wicked time there and it's also a chance for future megastars to shine. For example, the Park looks great and I don't normally spend time there that much. Also, the whole thing is subjective anyway! Please send me a ticket if you'd not like to go after seeing the full line up 😛
  12. https://clashfinder.com/s/g2022/?user=0vbdwb.uf Should be working. Apologies if it's got some of my highlights on there
  13. Blossoms and Crowded House would definitely make way for Wet Leg and Confidence Man. Can see The Park being crowded as fuck for WL>CM.
  14. I've never been so excited for a festival that I'm not attending!
  15. Looks like it'll either be tomorrow before the Tues interview so they can chat about it... OR It'll be on Wednesday after they've drummed up a bit of excitement/brought it back into everyone's consciousness the day before. I know for everyone on here there's no more excitement to be built up, but it's the BBC, so for the general populace, they might need a prod in the ribs to switch on again. Either way, it's coming in the next 24-72 hours.
  16. I really don't like to name drop either, but last weekend I was on my boat going to Greece-oh with Leonardo DiCapri-oh, and he said that he didn't have time for Glastonbury this year, but perhaps next year on the Glade covering all the music from Romeo and Juliet in a Hawaiian shirt and then before 'I'm Kissing You', he'll get into full body armour.
  17. Only 800ml (4 cans) the entire weekend? That's less than a can a day. Or are you talking per day? If it's per day, then it's more or less the same as me drinking the vod/redbull mixture, although vod/red is healthier than espresso martini - in which case you should be more concerned with your heart. If it's less than one per day, what's the point 😜 650ml of Redbull and 350 ml of vodka per night, which is really not that much spread out over 5 or six hours. It's my night tipple, equivalent to about 5 rum colas, one per hour. Really not that much but a helluva lot cheaper. I'm also likely to share with friends as well.
  18. My heart? There's probably more calories (and just as much sugar) in an espresso martini as a can of redbull. 😉 They do sound nice though. Big fan of Red Stripe and Peroni too.
  19. At least for circus and theatre you can dip in and out at no charge, with a very high turnover of performances, still relatively close to the music if you want to catch anything spontaneously. But you're right, it's personal taste.
  20. I think I misread the original post. My three things: - the predictions of line ups and timings (mostly in the Clashfinder style) - the spot on Simpsons' memes - the overly early headliner predos for the next festival before the next festival has even started
  21. 6x 1 litre bottles of vodka redbull (it's usually fine warm, plus it keeps you going) and a decanter bottle of rum, just so I can get coke and limes from the bars to make Cuba Libres. That's usually enough for my extras and then I'm happy to pay out for a few (maybe 8 per day) pints of cider or beer. I'm not a classy drinker by any means, lol 😝
  22. As much as the concept and the pics look great, it's probably the least interesting area for me. Wasting two or three hours there when I could be doing anything else the festival has to offer, in a field that could accommodate several hundred more people if there was a stage or a tent or a silent disco, I just don't see the allure. Paul McCartney live vs a film I could have just watched at home? There's just no contest. 20 quid doesn't even seem steep for booking on a whim and even then, planning a 3hr slot away from the other amazing stuff just boggles my mind.
