  1. Out of the replies I got for my question, I enjoyed this riddling answer the most ☺️ I'd upvote but I'm out.
  2. Apologies for being a troglodite and not being able to work Twitter, but who are the guests we're expecting? EDIT = his voice sounds quiet as fuck.
  3. Yeah, fair play. Thank you for re-focusing the conversation. Bottlenecks, panicking in crowds, being in the wrong place at the wrong time are all genuine realities... and so is FOMO! This year's BBC coverage has been second to none, I don't remember being able to skip between stages so easily compared to other years. When I've watched before I've had to wait for bands I wanted to see or hoped the BBC was covering who I wanted to see. Even as recently back as 2017, it's so hard to find coverage of bands I saw on the West Holts. Anyway, despite the reports of crowd problems and anti-social behaviour, I have hope these will be "fixed" by the next edition. Especially the first issue. Much love from the backwaters if Germania! x
  4. Sure, but I think it's important to separate pre-fence with post-fence. It's like pre-seating and post-seating after the Hillsborough shambles.
  5. Everybody gonna dance tonight... sings Paul with a fucking ukulele. Not exactly what people dance to these days. Christ, I am torn about this considering he's a Beatle, but this is boring me so much I'm gonna go make another Cuba Libre...
  6. Yeah, looked like a medical incident more than anything. Looked like someone fainted/passed out.
  7. It's the age old feminist debate - are filthy stripper performers empowering or holding women back? I'm torn. Obvs it's not scary... On the one hand, would I like this woman to be a role model for my daughter? Prob not. On the other hand, is her performance showcasing that a woman can do whatever she wants? Probably. I'm really divided on the whole issue.
  8. I do not know what Megan is saying when she shouts into the mic, but then again, weighed against the meandering mumbling from Macca, I feel like I'm far drunker than I am.
  9. Wait, there was a fight at Paul's warbling?
  10. Jokes about scantily clad women aside, there's something to be said about energy in a performance. It's not Paul's fault he's 80, but he could at least start with a couple of bangers to spark some fun for the audience...
  11. So far, Macca is boring as fuck. Checked up on Megan and was met by a wall of jiggling flesh. Not complaining tho.
  12. What's so dangerous? Just people trying to get into the field? Stay safe!
  13. Bloody hell. If I look that good when I'm 80 - after doing tonnes of acid and smashing up Hamburg, I'll be a happy man. He looks great. Especially in his purple military style-esque jacket.
  14. Prob because he was watching Casualty!
  15. Perhaps you're right but from the last time I went, it felt like it was incredibly London-centric - and I'm including all the late night, SE Corner, audience/Djs in that. I'm probably just being an old man and miss the days when there were a lot of smaller venues in that area and it didn't feel so mainstream. I always associate London = mainstream.
  16. Oh FFS, my internet has decided to go down right before Macca. I've literally been on this thread all day and NOW my crappy German provider decides enough is enough 😱
  17. Yeah, I noticed that as well ☺️ Send him to the Gulag for his reeducation! Haha
  18. I "noticed" that too. A true Glastonbury moment 😆 Send the director to the Gulag! Don't they know that she's a victim!
  19. That is true about northern bands, I'll give you that. Manchester is also a huge music contributer to the UK. But as you say, London is the biggest and it wouldn't surprise me that there's a dominance of bands/artists/DJs from that area - as well as a dominance of people from London being at the festival. That's all I'm saying.
  20. Oh, the song with autotune, I missed that one, bit weird that one, thought it sounded a bit like he was going to break out into Sweet Like Chocolate Boy 😆
  21. Damn, when was the bit he was talking about his family being there? I got distracted by my wife and holiday talk, haha. I'm liking this Fleabag song. Tbh, I like YungBlud more than others I've not heard of before so far.
  22. Which cities dominate then in your estimation?
  23. I meant the festival as a whole though. As I said, if you take out international bands... That's also an incredibly small sample size.
  24. That was just one example. If you factor in a lot of the dance/SE Corner acts/Silver Hayes, without a doubt London dominates. Which cities are the most popular for supplying artists if you disagree?
  25. Put your pinkies in the air!
