    Glastocam!

I really do need another excuse to procrastinate, so I’m thinking an eFests crowdfunded whip round to have @deebeedoobee camp there with a 24hr live feed of the farm, non of this 5 minute refresh nonsense. Just until it’s back up. Can’t imagine she’s much else to do & the weather thread will be fine without her for a bit.
  2. That would be very welcome. One of my biggest regrets missing him in 2014. 😔
  3. …indeed it was. 👌 🌅
  4. When you say chrome profiles, do you mean for example, I have 3 different google accounts/profiles (1 personal & 2 business) so having a separate browser open on each account/profile? Think I missed the incognito/ non-incognito thing too.
  5. This thread has really ramped up excitement. It’ll also be my first year working it which is bucket list thing for me. Won’t quite believe it until I’m there though. Taking the camper and will be located up by The Park, and was asked this week if I could get there on the Saturday afternoon to get set up ready to start on Sunday… so the above info from @SGS is really useful 😊 I’m buzzin!
  6. Funny you ask. No she's not an eFester 😂 Anything Glasto related mind, she'll do as she's told. However any other inconceivable area of my life, she firmly wears the trousers!
  7. Tbh the wives do look similar. But surely if they have our GE ticket with a matching address on, with the option of a phone call to the wife to confirm details, they'll get in. I mean could even send the wife up with them on the Tuesday I suppose, we'll see. I suppose the long and short of it is, once everyone's in the gates, no matter the faff, it will all be forgotten 🤞 Yeah I get it, soz. The introduction of a twix break somewhere would probably fit in well with this type of planning. 🤯
  8. Hi mate. I have a similar situation re yours, and also some experience getting into the CV East fields on someone else's ticket. I think it was 2016, we needed a CV ticket and missed out on the sale, but we managed to buy one from someone on FB who had an extra. As I remember, we got there early doors on the Tuesday morning & queued up waiting to get on to the CV grounds, but it was a nightmare getting in that year cos of the ground conditions etc so there were delays. We kept in good comms with the people we bought the ticket off, managed to get reasonably close to them in the queue, and in the end his wife jumped into my truck with her ticket so that there wouldn't be any issues with the CV ticket not matching a GE ticket, and we had no probs getting in. That year I actually set the trailer tent up on the Tues, left it in it's spot, drove back down to Devon and then came back up on the Thursday with the Mrs and more supplies... I just wanted to make sure we got a spot as close to the hill of death and the gate. We have a similar situation to you this year (or our friends who we're trying to get the tickets for do) as we'll be after coach ones tomorrow as well for them to increase chances. Obviously if they get a coach ticket, it means they cant buy a CV ticket. However as I'm now working the fest & will be camped elsewhere from the Saturday b4, i've said they can have my CV ticket. So if they're successful tomorrow, then the plan similarly to me in 2016 is to come up early doors on the Tuesday (with two vehicles unfortunately as they wont be able to get back after the fest), get in & pitch up their caravan in the morning, leave the site in the other vehicle and then get to the coach departure point on whichever day, jump on the bus & get in to the fest that way. I'll be on hand to help them in with the ticket over the phone, or I was thinking my wife could give them her ticket so at least it matches on the way in to the CV field, which they'll bring back down. Trying to think of another way around it really as it's all a bit of a mega faff, but it's needs must really to get them to the fest!
  9. Ok, so how do we hide this thread from non-efesters? Asking for a friend.
  10. @parsonjack Whats the bestest, most visual & easy to use for a dullard auto-refresh add-on in your most humble and wise opinion? So basically if one is looking at 3 screens & wants to hit pause as quickly as possible if the landing page appears.

    The kids

Would love to get a few perspectives from people... Glastonbury in our household tends to be the time Mummy & Daddy get to go away for the week and really let their hair down together, which obviously is a well needed form of therapy. But as the years go by, there is a feeling from me at least that in the next few years we'll need to think about taking the kids, not only because we might not be able to get cover anymore, but more for the fact that I feel the festival would be a great experience for their little developing brains, give them some real diverse exposure to all sorts of wonderful things, and would be something a little different to the norm to put it mildly. Obviously if that were the case, then it would turn the fest into a totally different animal for us. But i'm really interested to hear if anyone else has done both with & without their children, and how this changed the experience... OR, whether i'm bark raving mad and should just keep it to play time for the parents!?
  12. Proving once again, that there are people with more money than sense. Fucking mental. We bagged hospitality passes in 2015 from a close contact, cost me a small fortune but it was either that or not go. If you like celeb spotting they're great, but the only perks for us was the cut through between The Other & The Pyramid, and the toilet facilities were nicer and more private/convenient if you needed a quick pick me up. Wouldn't pay for them again though, unless there was no other option and could afford.
  13. Really not sure how they would, but come up with a better system to control the crowds down in the SE corner. At peak times it gets a bit dicey, and if it’s a wet one, is pretty dangerous imo.
  14. So… this exact time in reality next week, it possibly would have been too late for those still in bed at 8:15. I seriously think the clocks going forward is going to work hugely in our favour. Let’s hope there’s no mention of it on the fest’s socials this week.

    Glastocam!

You never know, they might be replacing it with a brand new camera that actually pans further to the left so you can see ALL of the festival. Not that it’s always irk’d me or anything.
  16. Think those after a ticket should & will be manifesting those exact same thoughts!
  17. So far so good... Have heard a few horror stories mind, but the key I have been told is not lifting a finger (or todger) for the next couple of days. Couldn't the believe how efficient the op was though, was literally in and out within the hour. They asked if I wanted any music on during the procedure. I said surprise me and the assistant put on some Kraftwerk! Broke the ice nicely during my exposure. I've already had the pep talk from Mrs YBNB... practicing is strictly on home turf ONLY.
  18. Yesterday I had a vasectomy, and although a little tender today, I have been told this will now drastically improve my sex life... and as a married man with 4 children, I believe this to be good news.

Oh to be a fly in close proximity...
  20. Not sure if @dogeggs has been on here recently, but he seems to have an amazing knack and managed very kindly to bag me tickets on two occasions now, one year of which was my honeymoon. 🙌 …so Luke, if you’re listening, we need you!!! p.s. you’re on my team yeah. 😉
