  1. 1) 2015 - we went with a group of my best friends for my 30th birthday. We all went and watched Wheel of Four Tunes, got drunk and had the best time. Ended up having a little dance with one of the power rangers. Really happy memories! 2) Those sunsets. I could of picked hundreds of pictures but this one in 2016 does it for me (perhaps because I was ankle deep in mud and a glimpse of the sun at least made it feel a little better!) 3) My husband and I, again in 2016. It was a hard slog that one and was just me and him but was perhaps our favourite year. This time we are going together without a group too and really looking forward to doing the festival just us two (and with whoever we meet on the way!)
  2. The last time I managed to go was 2017 as missed out on tickets for 2019. I hit it hard all week and on the Sunday afternoon was feeling pretty tired and worse for wear. Decided to have a walk through the kids field as had never seen that part of the festival before as my daughter had never come with us. Walked past a sign that said something like 'Warning! Low flying aeroplanes' and maybe ten little tackers running around with their arms outstretched making 'nneee-ooonnnggg' sounds. My little girl was only 5 at the time and it really made me cry about what a lovely time these kids were having and how much I missed her. We still aren't ready to do a full festival with our kids (I also have a little boy who is 4) but our now 10 year old girl is joining us on the Sunday and is thrilled to see Diana Ross!
  3. Absolutley agree - this was my first year and I went to see Chic after seeing everyone talking about their set on here. I had the best time - still up there with my favourite gigs of all time.
  4. Tent up... Rest in a camping chair and open the first cider. Then probably take a walk, grab some nice food, find a bar...we usually like heading over to permaculture for a samosa. I can't wait!
  5. Surely I can't the only one thinking that May has been so rubbish, grey and cold (it's May and I'm still in jumpers?!) that June (particularly the end) will be wall to wall sunshine? That must be the way it works.

    Surprise Ideas

For my birthday one year, I made a silver ring in the green craft fields. It was about £50 and was with Julia Thompson Jewellery. The workshop was about 3 hours and I did it on a Thursday morning. Not sure if it's his thing mind?
  7. In my opinion, Wednesday and Thursday are my favourite days. Wednesday, we arrive... Walk about, have a few drinks. Then in the evening we head to watch the fireworks and the Phoenix being lit. Grab some food and head back to get an early-ish nights sleep. Thursday - We go check out some weird stuff. Tend to spend a good portion of time doing fun things like power ballad yoga, watching acts like show hawk duo, Lekkido, wheel of four tunes, beans on toast etc... They would certainly lose out to bigger acts over the weekend but I throughly enjoy them on a Thursday!
  8. So far we have 20 x thatchers haze 1 x litre of pineapple cube vodka 1x litre of cola cube vodka Probably will need more ciders and a few easy to drink cocktail in a cans too. I tend to buy a couple cold ones each day too.
  9. Thank you! We always camp at Darble so really close to gate A anyway but my thoughts are taking a 7am trip out to get her and then back in by 8.30am to have some breakfast before setting off with her for the day!
  10. Hi, My 10 year old daughter is being dropped to the festival early Sunday and staying the day with us. How can we make this happen? My parents will be dropping her off but I'm guessing they may not be able to get into the carpark without a ticket? Do we need to leave the site to collect her from somewhere? How busy will the roads be Sunday morning and what time do we think is best to do this? Thank you!

    Vegan Traders

I am so excited to return to the farm after 5 years without going (missed out on 2019 and the rest is history) but I'm especially excited to see what vegan food options there are now! To be honest, the offerings were great before but with how much vegan food has developed in the last couple years alone I am anticipating some real treats on offer! The Mexicana food place looks banging too.
  12. Nice.. Just bought one as have borrowed a bag for years! 15% off with blue light card works too.

    Traff Tips

What direction are you coming from? We travel up from Devon and in previous years used to arrive 6am to get in the queue... But we don't need to as we camp out in darble next to gate A and it isn't a popular spot. We found going just that little bit later... Arriving around 11am for example meant there was less of a queue to get in and less traffic.
  14. Common people or Get Lucky for sure.
  15. The morning that the news hit about Brexit... I was already tired and hungover. The weather was a bit drizzly and overcast and we headed to the Pyramid stage for opening. There was a video played on the screen by Portishead doing this really haunting version of Abba's SOS in memory of Jo Cox. I had a sob at that. Then followed up by Damon Albarn and the Syrian Orchastra. I remember sobbing my heart out... Such an emotional morning.
  16. We have just got back from the best few days! Worthy Farm was like a little slice of Glastonbury which was well welcome after not being there the last few years! Highlights included: - Joint charities field was great for all age children. - Walking around the site and working out where we were and being surprised at how small everything looks without the festival going on. - Goose Hall was a great addition. - Yoga in the Spike Bar in the morning felt special. - Meeting Micheal and getting my book signed. He was meant to be there from 4.30-5pm yesterday and the queue was moving at a snails pace. By 6pm we still hadn't quite reached the front and he was still meeting people. Once inside it was clear why things were taking so long. Micheal chatted our ears off... Wanted to know where we were from, introduce our kids and he was just lovely. - Painting a bin with my kids felt like an iconic Glastonbury moment. - Everyone was as friendly as ever - people wanted to chat and kids went off to play together. It was pretty magic. - The huge, beautiful, full moon and clear night sky on our last night. My only criticisms would be that all the kids activities that you pay a donation for were booked up immediately and the ones you pay more for didn't seem worth it (£8 for making a willow lantern for example) and the food choices were pretty average although we mostly had a bbq daily so didn't effect us. Overall, totally glad that we went! Lots of memories made and just can't wait to get back now!
