  1. Just seen whilst paying my balance that the coach dates will be released during the week commencing the 13th May.

Just wondering if anybody knew what the potential times of departure are for Manchester, either for this year or last? Last year we were on the 2pm coach on the Wednesday which i presumed was the last one...

There was a list going around for 2014 but i'm not aware of an updated one since then.

To be fair i haven't exactly gone wrong and questioned each one individually on it, i just know one of my other mates follows it, so in theory it may be actually be more!

will report back with survey results from the pub tonight

  3. See i've interpreted the results of this poll extremely positively in regards to resale chances. Out of the group of 30 friends who want to attend this year, only 2 have heard of 'The thingy', myself and another friend who is obsessed with the festival. Surely the majority of people who follow the thingy, and have hence voted, are your more avid Glastonbury attendees and are therefore more than likely to vote 'Hell Yes' as they realise the lineup is rather insignificant to the whole weekend? If this poll was done by BBC or some other large outlet (no offence to the Thingy) then i would anticipate an ever larger share of the vote going to the No's...

Anyway, ive got 24 willing friends still without a ticket, so any positivity i can muster up helps right now.

  4. As soon as i crack open a beer on the Tuesday night. It inevitably results in me completely overdoing it which then means its completely in my best interest to wake up Wednesday and get straight back on it. Festival mode in full flow before ive even left my house!

And then again when i first set up my tent.

If it gets confirmed then it will be only 41 km away from Barcelona Airport which will change everything for this festival.

Exactly. Im flying to Barcelona on the Sunday morning for Benicassim festival, so providing they start selling 1 day tickets closer to the time, ill now be able to see the Strokes outside the UK this summer - Lets hope this gets confirmed!

  6. Anyone know if there’s a catch with this barclycard presale? I’ve currently got two tickets in my basket but don’t have any personal affiliation to them? Usually you need to be a card holder or something to gain access to these type of things but I’ve just got straight in...

Ignore that, have to pay with a barcylcard to get them

Just amended my original post before I saw this, they could be including support acts. So 7 from 16 maybe?

Even so that's still reasonably good odds! Probably too soon for them to return but ill hold on too even the slightest bit of hope

On the latest Rob Da Bank podcast, I heard them mention 7 of this year’s Eden Sessions acts were at Glasto, They only show these on the website currently.

Any idea how many acts are playing Eden this year? From a quick look on the website there was only 8 acts last year and 7 the year before (just taking into account the headliners)

Few of my group have missed Chic playing so would love to see them back on the farm!

  9. I know they’ve only got two planned dates, both in the US, but I’ve had my hopes on the rapture coming over to play.

Stephen Malkmus and the jicks are also in Europe the week before, so had kinda hoped for them. Doves, but I’m pretty confident they’ll be added at a later date for some reason unknown.

But the Strokes omission was the biggest blow for me. Favourite band at my favourite place would of been pretty special.

  10. My take on all this is FIB sold enough tickets early on way before any of the announcements were made purely by marketing it as being a 25th anniversary. Id imagine the majority of people committed to tickets, flights, accommodation, etc, before any of the acts were announced – something me and my group do every year, regardless of “special anniversary editions”. So now that they’ve sold enough tickets and people have already committed and are unlikely to drop out, whats the need to spend anything else on the lineup? People generally commit to this festival early on, not after later lineup drops.

One problem with this though will be the day tickets that aren’t on sale yet. Apart from the day KOL and Lana play, I cant see them selling many at all.

(*But, as others have pointed out, for the price of my early bird we’ve got more than what we’ve paid for…. Roll on July)

    MOAN!! MOAN!! MOAN!!

thats my moaning out of the way

Now let me get on and enjoy Beni 2019!

None of it will matter when i'm sat in my camping chair, drinking cheap alcohol in the 30 degree heat. They could literally stick anyone on the main stage and id still have a cracking time!

  12. Feel slightly cheated a little by the fact that Beni haven't made a big thing about Fatboy Slim being one of the headliners apart from dropping it in the email that i've received. I'm beginning to worry that were not going to have another "big headliner" and that well end up with the 1975 and Ezra co-headlining.....

  13. Don't Beni usually state if theres going to be a headliner included in the announcement? The fact they've just said "+ 12 acts" makes me think it's just the undercard...

Yep, when they annonced Kings of Leon they posted "+1 Headliner + 14 acts"

  14. Apart from the apparent comment from Kodaline about playing beni at one of their gigs and the reply from Fibs twitter account to a beni poll, do we have anything else to go on?

I can remember there was a bit of a shock when Pet Shop Boys got announced last year so hoping for something similar again.

    Gorilla's website.

    That's obviously sans booking fee

    How obvious! Thanks bud.

Just noticed that on the gigs and tours website it says that general sale will be on the 28th February - the day after the presale.

Surely all of the tickets are going to be snapped up in the presale.... aren't they?

  16. How does it work on the coach resale again? Do we select a date and a location and then hit F5 and hope? Or do we select the location after getting passed the F5 stage?

Ive got through before on coach resale, just cant remember how the process goes....

  17. How exactly does the process work for coach resale? Select either the Wednesday or Thursday then F5 like mad and hope you get through so that you get to select a location? Or do you select the location after the date and then F5?

Does anyone have a rough idea when Lost Village tends to sell out? Definitely keen if I don't get Glasto tickets in the resale, but realise that's still a few months off yet.

Think it was around May last year bud so you should be okay to still get one if you're unlucky in the resale.
